The Streamlight Waypoint Spotlight comes in two versions, one that is "rechargeable" and one that is "battery powered/12V". In addition to having a larger light output, the "repayable" version has a shorter rated beam throw distance (but by only a little bit). As a result, it is likely that the "rechargeable" version produces a wider beam, sort of a combination of a flood and a spot. It is here that more lumens are produced. In terms of foreground, it may be an asset if you need more light. At less than two years later, the light has stopped working, after I was satisfied with its function and output. A light was placed around the yard at night to keep the animals warm. In its wall bracket, the light was stored inside my house in a dry, heated room. the device stopped functioning, I disassembled it and discovered that there was corrosion on the circuit board. This is disappointing for an item meant The circuit board of a flashlight with a circuit board needs to be properly coated against corrosion if it is to last. After disassembly, a poor design and poor assembly were discovered - lots of cost-cutting was used. On a $20 light, this is as good as you can expect.
