The handle is threaded to fit both camera and survey tripods, so you can use it with either. A regular work light stand will suffice, and can be purchased for around $20 (US) at most big box stores. The best type of stand will be determined by the location where it will be used.
It works with all DeWalt batteries; I've tested it with 18/20volt 4AH and 5AH batteries. A 5AH on full brightness lasts the best part of the day, about 7 hours. 6AH flex volt lasts the best part of the day, about 7 hours. I'm very pleased with the light, and the best part is that you don't have to plug it in when the battery runs out. Simply replace the battery in the unit. It comes highly recommended from me.

I'M A SELF-EMPLOYED PAINTING CONTRACTOR, AND IT'S SO NICE TO NOT HAVE TO LUG AROUND CORDS TO CONNECT TO A WORK LIGHT, THESE DEWALT LIGHTS ARE BRIGHT ENOUGH FOR ONE ROOM AND LAST A LONG TIME WITH ONE BATTERY, I USED A 5AH BATTERY AND IT WAS GOOD FOR 3 HOURSbr>FOR WHAT.
As a contractor, it's rare that I have enough light for interior trim work, especially in a basement, so this light is exactly what I expected from DeWalt. The DeWalt tripod light is very useful, but it does not point down well for installing the base, and two angles of light are very useful when fitting miters, so the combination of high and low illumination is a winner. As others have said, DeWalt could have been a little more creative with mounting options, which is my only slight disappointment with this light. I'd prefer the option of being able to attach the tripod to the light's base so that its handle is available for moving it around as I work through a room, because a low tripod I occasionally use has the ability to tilt, making attaching to the handle redundant. It's awkward to pick it up without a handle, especially with the additional weight and bulk of a tripod hanging underneath. Even if the shape of the light made it easier to grip without the handle, that would have been a plus. All that's needed are some shallow indentations in the back of the case to help with finger gripping. I'm thinking about putting in a 1/4-inch hole in the ceiling. 20 nut- As I did with the DeWalt BlueTooth player, I inserted a sert in its base. While mounted on a tripod, its handle would be accessible.
Even when compared to Milwaukee's tri-light, the Dewalt tripod light is a better buy. light. The work light is dimmed and has a yellow tint. The Dewalt tripod light is brighter and has a wider range of applications. If you want a good light, this is it; if you want an incredible compact and all-around versatile light, get the tripod. To avoid shadows, it's best to direct the light down on you. Each Milwaukee tripod light has a lumen output of 1,000 lumens. It comes with a charger for the batteries - This thing is bulky and inflexible, making it difficult to move from one location to another. It comes with a plug, so it's ideal for working in a single room. It has the ability to provide light in all directions. The Dewalt can stand upright with the legs retracted in, making it very stable and slim. However, it is not bump proof. On the highest setting, a 9 amp battery will provide 4 hours of continuous light. The small work light is adequate but not spectacular.
I'm remodeling my kitchen and bathroom from top to bottom. Because this customer is picky, I needed a strong light to cast shadows on walls, ceilings, and other surfaces for drywall, trim, and other finishes. Cloudy days tend to conceal misses and lines that the sun will reveal once the sun returns. I like that I can use this light as a tripod or just sit it on the table. It's very bright, with three brightness settings and a natural daylight-like appearance.
I own the DCL043 work light and have found its 1000 lumen bright spot to be extremely useful for projects. I was looking for a flood light that used the same batteries as the other lights. I purchased the DCL077B and am very pleased with it. Its high brightness setting of 2000 lumens and wide beam projection are ideal for projects, but not blindingly so. The light is evenly distributed from edge to edge, with no hotspots like other lights. You now have a fantastic power outage light if you have a good selection of 20v and 60v flex volt batteries. This device brightens a dark room so much that you can cook dinner or keep the kids safe during a power outage with it.
I own almost every tool made by Dewalt, and this is one of my favorites. br>br>This light was built and designed by Dewalt, who did an excellent job. It's fantastic for working under cabinets on plumbing, under cars, and just about any other situation where light is required. br>I like that it has three different light settings to save battery life. The only thing to keep in mind is that it will quickly deplete a battery. The slim line 1 is something I would never use. 5 or 2. There are no batteries in this vehicle. br>I don't mind because I have a lot of 4 and 5 ahm batteries. It'd be difficult to have a light this bright that didn't quickly drain the battery. br>br>This is a tough and durable light that I would purchase again if I needed another.
Do not snare straight into the lamp because of the brightness. br>br>Thickness = br>br>Thickness = br>br>Thickness = br> huh? why? It has just the right amount of thickness to it. br>br>Battery Life = it was missing one. The Amp/hr rating of the battery plugged "in" to it determines how much power the battery can provide. br>Also, larger batteries may have an impact? what is the thickness , weight, and so on. br>br>This critter is said to be more of a flood light - compared to a single spotlight br>It appears to be functioning properly - in addition to being well received.
I bought this light to work on my vehicles and some home projects in the garage. This light's brightness makes me extremely happy. Although it was a little pricey, I am glad I purchased it and am confident it will be put to good use. It's great that it uses the same DeWalt battery as the rest of my DeWalt tools. Battery life isn't a big deal because you can quickly swap it out for a new one and charge it. It is not a cheap light, but it is sturdy and well constructed. If battery life is a concern, there are three brightness settings to choose from. Overall, this is a light that I would recommend.
