Lighting a bedroom sufficient to paint or drywall with 6000 LM's will make a sizeable difference in the room's brightness. It can stand on its own. The light is beautiful, but we are not pleased with the placement of the switch. The switch nearest the end of the cord that plugs into the wall is at a position where you'll have to bend down to find the switch every time you'll want to turn off the electrics. Additionally, we stepped repeatedly on the switch, causing the power to go out. The switch will need to be moved up closer to the light, which will cost about half again to buy the same light. My frustration is immense. There is a dual-battery system offered by Olafus 5000LM/2500LM An integrated switch in the light frame is included in the power model My opinion is that this is a better design.
Anthing I would buy at my normal tool store is in this price range and brighter than this. There is no doubt that the product is a good buy, and who knows in a few years, in might be a great buy.
The light is lightweight and produces great illumination without the heat that comes from halogen lamps. * This device's features and the price made it a better purchase than one with a smaller output and less My purchase would be my second if I had the choice!.
This light works great, it is inexpensive, it is super bright and does not get hot when it is used.
The lights I use to grow over 60 orchids on wire racks each use eight of these lights. As a result of the combination of intense light and vibrant color, orchid flowers are growing rapidly and producing bright colors.
However, the light cannot be adjusted to point downwards. The light does work well, but it is extremely bright (this is a good thing). Light must point down when I'm working on wood. My first step was to get out a grinder so that I could grind away the bottom. The screw that makes the light tilt up or level also has an Allen wrench type nut on the side. Having to get the Allen wrench every time you want to tilt it is a huge hassle. It would have been better if they installed knobs. This would not be a good idea.
As part of my mudding sheet rock job, I tested it for shadows on walls and ceilings. In spite of abuse and dust, it performed well. The only thing I would have changed is that I would have preferred the switch to be near the light instead of the outlet.
It is very well made and has excellent light output. Painting walls is a lot easier with this method since you can see how imperfect your paint job is much more clearly. It would be a good recommendation for anyone who wants to light up a work area.
