There isn't a lot of force behind the It is normal for me to use the smaller one. I am 5 years old. The magnet can be used to mount the light anywhere just because it is powered by a 3ah 20 volt battery. In my case, I used the larger 4AH It doesn't give me the same feeling of confidence in the magnet with a 6Ah battery some times. Since it uses a smaller battery, you will have fewer problems when using it overall, since it will last several hours with ease.
There are no replacement lenses available for this model.
There is no way to change the led.

It seems strange to me that DeWalt offers a 20-volt work light lineup. My personal opinion is that none of their lights feel like Goldilocks to It seems like they thought about the design about 90% of the way, but Lights like this one have a lot of positive qualities. In terms of build quality, you can expect it to be comparable to other tools on the 20v platform. The performance was solid, but not exceptional. A bright light emits from the lamp. Based on the lumen rating, I expected it to fail to satisfy - but it was The work light in this DeWalt catalog is in my opinion the most versatile. Stupidly, there are innumerable ways to attach or position it, between the magnets, the sides, and the hook that hangs from the wall. In particular, I like how the hanging hook can fold 180 degrees to form a 'leg' and allow the light to stand up on its own. The head can be rotated in almost any direction once it is positioned, so you can get a good amount of light.
All these characteristics, however, make the light appear oddly proportioned. Even if you're Sasquatch, you won't be able to hold it in your hands. A flashlight can't be carried comfortably in that way. If you position it near your workspace, it can give light to the area. It is therefore not a general lighting device. Hence, it does not make sense to me that this is designed to provide a tight focus. For close quarter work, this lamp should produce a wide, diffuse beam. stands, I have to frequently adjust the light so that I have enough light on what I'm working on but not too much. If this could be easily made into a 5 star product using a different design to give a wide, nicely diffused beam, then this would easily be a 5-star.
This style of light is the same as the 12 volt light that I have and was excited to see they also offer the 20 volt model. As far as we can tell, the only real difference between the 12v and 20v bulbs is their color. Compared to the 12v, the 12v has a tighter hot spot and its color is closer to "cool white" (5000 K). There's less of a hot spot in the 20v, and the color is warmer Although the 20v light source has been specified to offer 160 lumen, the 12v light source has been stated to offer 130 lumen, which suggests that the 12v is brighter, but that is Magnets just don't seem to be as strong as they should be, which is something I always struggle with. It is heavier and even with a 2v, the 20v is heavier. While it has a 0 Ah battery, it still has problems holding firmly to work surfaces. I am going to try one of the other 20v lights to conclude the review. Overall, it is a decent light, but in the end, it will not be enough for me. Lights in the soft white (warm) color spectrum are ideal for camping, but they are an inadequate choice for illuminating work areas. It will depend on how you use it.
It's possible for me to mount the light on the frame of my truck, to adjust the head up and to the left or right as required. I definitely work in a bright enough environment for every project I do. The only thing I wish was for them to have a diffuser that you could attach when you want to use them as floodlights. Take an old standard led light bulb and cut off the globe (it was the perfect size to fit over the head of the DCL040, and made it into a flood light! A little tape around the head keeps it in place! As a portable LED light, this works pretty well, and even though the smaller battery (2A 20v) is necessary to use it, it's still a much better design than the other. I'm sure you can get days of run time from one of those flex volt batteries! You can use it with a 3A or even a flex volt battery too! Camping will be much more enjoyable with this!.
Here are some of the pros Although it is small, it is quite bright. The cons are A 2 would not be adequate unless you use it. The number of A's is zero. A coin cell or a H battery would be sufficient, otherwise the magnet (which already isn't very strong) would be completely useless because it prevented the magnet from even touching the glass. A Led light head that can be adjusted doesn't seem very robust. While it clicks for adjustment, it does not hold in place very well either. 9 times out of 10, the " hanger " doesn't work properly because it's not very well designed. The last thing that I would like to mention is that it costs about 50% more than it deserves. You can get it for a reasonable price if you reduce the price. It is as it is. This is one purchase I wouldn't make again.
I bought 4 of these batteries in addition to my four rechargeable batteries to go with my electronic arsenal. Charged and ready to use, they are always with you. I have several of them attached to both sides of my kitchen refrigerator due to their magnetic bodies. In the event of a power outage You can aim one of these at the ceiling of the kitchen and it will illuminate the whole space. Since the belt clips can be attached to belts, anyone in the family can easily carry one everywhere It is possible to set them on any furniture surface and aim them anywhere you like (the ceiling is great for this). This has been a long-running project These batteries hold a charge for a long time (for several months). They are now an integral part of my power outage kit. I recommend buying several. Your money will be well spent.
A colleague of mine who maintains my air conditioning used the light when I bought it. It is the best thing to be able to position the light in any angle and still be able to see what I am doing. Only drawback is, when you purchase the light, it does not state on the package what size amp hour 20v Max Dewalt battery is required for the magnetic feature to function. With this light, you can use any 20v max battery from DeWalt. The batteries I bought were two packs 3 amp hours, but the light would not stick to my refrigerator as the batteries were too thick to make contact with metal. For the magnetic feature to function, a battery with a capacity of 2 amp hours must be used. When I read the package, it suggested using a 2 amp hour battery for that purpose. Had I known that, I would have bought the correct battery and given it.
I found this to be extremely helpful. My reasoning for taking away two stars is as follows 1. 1.
. The magnet of this device becomes ineffective if it is used with a battery of a higher capacity.
2. This was a poor design choice. A quality head swivel would have made it sturdier without adding much weight since it is made in China. It is one I will keep and I am going to use in the future. I am looking forward to receiving the 12v version I ordered as well, since it should be light enough to clip on bibs and hats.
