The bottom line is that it I found the installation to be very simple. The whole process took about ten minutes. The following is a piece of advice I have for the installation It wasn't a sheetmetal screw that I used to fix the device to the metal like it appears in the video. attached it with Velcro to the side of the compartment with just a little bit of Velcro. In order to keep the furnace system protected from holes, I did not drill holes in any metal. There was a short cycling of the air conditioning. The system looked like it was going to be damaged. It was a great pleasure to talk to you about the thermostat and the software There is an upstairs furnace.

The add-on would have been handy if I needed it In the case of the wire accessory, I would have appreciated the opportunity to save on Before I realized I didn't have a need for it, I bought Prior to purchasing the thermostat, I inspected behind it to see if there were more than four In my inspection of the panel on the furnace, I realized that the wires that ran to the living room was actually Once the 5th cable was attached to the common wire screw, I went to the thermostat and connected it

Once my Honeywell Lyric T5 had power, I was good to go. Invest $20 in the furnace circuit board and not the wall behind the thermostat, and you will save yourself from having to pay for repairs. I'm so lazy now that I can order from Amazon 1 Shopping with the click of a button didn't bother me. When I needed this add-on, it would have been faster for me to do it In the case of the wire accessory, I would have appreciated the opportunity to save on A considerably cheaper alternative. You might also want to watch a video where somebody demonstrates how to use The one from Tec Tube with the bald technician is highly recommended. Compared to the original venstar video, this one is far superior. I know it is for me at least. In the official video, the cable colors and connector acronyms do not line up correctly, while those in the Tec Tube video were perfectly accurate.

It is as simple as that

For Nest without C, this is a must. Even though Nest said I didn't need one, I had to install a C wire on my nest 3rd gen. We had no problems with the thermostat during the winter with only heat, but soon after we switched to AC season the thermostat started acting up. I had a problem where my fan would turn on and off once in a while (many times it would just make clicking sounds) Initially, I had used my G wire as a C wire and given up control of my fans. In spite of the fact that I rarely used the fan by itself, I wanted to keep it functional. In this gadget I found the solution to my problem. I followed the YouTube instructions and I was able to convert my four wires to five without running any additional wire. The whole process of getting up and running took me a good 15 minutes. This is a must-have accessory for all nest users who have four In order to run it properly, C wire is required. Here's what's new If you use G wire as C, compare that to this kit, the voltage in nest drops from 3. 3 to 2. 8. It is 94 to 3 for the Republicans. In spite of this, nest continues to serve its purpose. I just want to point something out.

I think this is a great solution for the Nest wire issue
5/5

A new HVAC system was installed in my home, but it was outdated. A few months ago, I replaced the furnace, a/c and thermostat in the house. recently upgraded to a Nest thermostat, I often became frustrated by battery issues. I would have to pull it off and use a USB cable to charge it for about an hour before plugging Over the course of a winter, it happened twice. A common wire was missing from my setup, so I decided to borrow the central A/C wire in order to fiddle with it until I had the time to re-do it My next task was to rerun the thermostat wire. After I traced the existing thermostat wire, I realized that it was mixed up with the return ducts and would be a pain to fish it out. You need to add the Venstar identifier

I mapped out the existing and future wiring on paper before I installed it and it went smoothly. I encourage you to watch the Venstar installation video on YouTube. Following are a few helpful I. 1. It's for the love of God that you postpone this if you are uncomfortable. It is also possible to void your warranty when you damage your system. * * 2. 1. 2. 3. You need to take before and after pictures of the wiring at both the thermostat and the HVAC control board. You should read over the instructions, watch the YouTube video, and then map out the wiring so you know exactly what needs to be done. Depending on the thermostat, the colors of the wire may not match exactly the instructions (mine did), but if you map everything out, you should be able to figure it out. When you are not able to run a new thermostat wire, this would definitely be a reliable solution.

Additional information about the Venstar ACC0410 My NEST Thermostat dilemma was solved with the use of wire
5/5

The air conditioner/heat system in my older house is built by Payne, which is close to 30 years old and still I don't think it is worth $7K to buy a replacement system used so rarely. As a challenge, I installed a NEST Thermostat I moved from my other house and found a 4 wire config. I used the 4 wire configuration advertised by others, and my heater worked perfectly. It did not turn on the recirculation fan of the AC. Two estimates for new wiring costing more than $500 due to sheetrock repair and painting have been given to me. I hate it! There was a solution in this gem. Taking responsibility for my own actions During the past week, the system was installed. As of now, it has been In my capacity as an individual Installer, I would strongly advise you to triple check your wiring before connecting power. I noticed an error in mine and fixed it, matching the wire of different colors is easy. You should watch what you do. It was time for me to watch a YouTube video. I soldered the "Y" wire behind the thermostat and attached it with multilayered heat shrink tubing - a different method from the instructions. In short, I was not interested in pushing a wire nut behind the wallboard. It handled my Nest I am updating this review to reflect that it is still functioning flawlessly over a year later.
