Over the paneling, we painted over the wood, leaving the small Nest with unpainted wood revealing. Combined with the Nest faceplate, a darker shade is a nice complement to the wall paint and the Nest.
However, I was hoping for a more earthy colour and ended up with something more like Florida There is lots of hardware included in this game, but the directions do not explain exactly what it is for or how it fits into the game. It tries to hide your old larger thermostat, looks good, and is confusing but does a good job hiding the spot it once occupied.
I use this to cover the holes in the wall that were previously there. It is easy to install and covers the holes well. It only needs to be hung before the thermostat can be installed. The color of the thermostat doesn't match the color of the thermostat, though. While it would make sense if it were from another manufacturer, Google is also providing the content here A match should be made between the colors. The reason for the three stars is because of this.
Quite adequate for covering up the electrical box hole. You would expect it to come with the thermostat, for what it costs. I don't think $15 is worth it for a metal and plastic cover plate for an electrical box. It's at least in the same color!.
No matter whether the trim plate is installed or not, Nest thermostats look beautiful. After you remove the old ugly big thermostat, you will need a trim plate even if you are not planning on repainting the wall. An elegant art piece, this trim plate with Nest thermostat goes perfectly with the wall decor.
A well-fitting cover is provided to cover the existing hole in the wall. The slight lip on the top leaves me trying to decide whether I like it or not (it gives the effect of a teacup and saucer). I bought it rather than beige or other, since it has a pinkish tint rather than beige or other. The fact that the thermostat did not come with a trim plate and that it is not compatible with the temperature sensors is disappointing. In exchange for the sleek design and touch screen bezel, I would have no problem overlooking this flaw.
When the thermostat is purchased, it should come with the back plate. There is a price difference of over $100 between the two thermostats. Do not forget to put the plastic piece in.
The only thing I would have liked is that it was in the box but I should have asked for it.
