Questions & Answers

Can you tell me what the amp rating is?

According to the advertisement, there is a maximum load of 15 amps

What if I wanted to plug this into my Amazon smart plug so I could control when it came on using ?

The amperage your smart plug can handle is greater than what your smart plug can handle.

Will the thermostat automatically turn on by itself if power returns after losing it? If you lose power to the thermostat, then the power comes back on, will the heater turn on automatically?

Yes, I do. My heater has not been affected by a power failure, but I have had an occasion to turn the power off at the breaker, and when it was reset, the power remained on.

In my case, I set it at 70 degrees and it shuts off when it reaches that temperature

The cool function does not operate
5/5

The cooling function is not available. There is no cooling capability with this thermostat, even though it states it can be used for that purpose. As soon as I put the small button on cool settings, it does the same thing as the heat setting. Basically, it only goes on when it needs to warm something. So if you set up a fan to cool the room, it will stay running because it only goes off when it reaches a certain temperature that is too high, not too low. It is a little complicated to understand but it is very misleading since it is only intended for heaters. If it is a broken one, it will not do what it is supposed to when it is set to cool down. As long as the settings cool or heat were on, it still did the same thing that would turn off when it reached the desired temperature.

Everything is working fine with the thermostat! The year is The heaters in my bathrooms, kitchen, and bedrooms were old electric baseboard heaters
3/5

As a consequence, I removed the old radiators and replaced them with wall heaters (six in all) online with EconoHome thermostats. EconoHome Thermostats seem to do the job they were designed to do (after two weeks of use). I appreciate you being part of.

An example of a design flaw is A thermostat that heats up on its own when it is turned According to what it does, it does the following When the temperature rises or falls above or below the set point on the dial (based on the option selected by the cool switch), the outlet is turned on
3/5

There is one major problem with the design The higher the temperature, the hotter it gets There are current loads connected to the network, which affects the set point temperature immediately. For example, a space heater or an air conditioner uses a large amount of current. I am using it to power a 12 amp load continuously from an AC source The hybrid electric vehicle has a four-wheel drive system. In my case, I want the outlet to be turned on only when the ambient temperature is as high as By doing this, the batteries will remain relatively cool while charging throughout the summer, extending the life of the batteries Batteries can be expected to last a long time. Remotely I can get alerts when the battery starts charging or stops charging. It is accurate to within about 1 degree of the set point (it is set into a dial for a certain amount of time) so I placed it on the dial, checked the on/off trigger, and let it do its thing. When I first connected the car for a charge, it was cool enough inside the garage and began charging right away, as it should. After a few hours, I checked how the charger was charging and saw that it was continually switching between charging and not charging about every 10 minutes It took fifteen As I thought about it, I suspect the outlet was becoming hot due to the current flowing through it. In the ambient temperature about 5 degrees lower than what I set it as yesterday, I checked it as it was plugged in, but not charging. Despite the outlet being turned off and set to the same temperature as everything else around it, it was noticeably warmer than the rest. The suspicions I had were confirmed This is the higher-level As a result of the current (although still below maximum rated), sufficient heat was being generated internally to cause the thermostat to "think" it was several degrees higher than it truly Users with a space heater noticed that it would come on initially at the correct temperature but would not shut off again until it cooled down to 10 degrees A temperature of 15 degrees (or more) warmer than your setpoint is optimal. In those cases where it is used along with an air conditioner, it would turn on initially at the right temperature, but won't shut off until the temperature falls below 10 degrees Celsius. The setpoint for your system is 15 degrees cooler than the actual setting! As a whole, it does what it claims to do. You should have a higher degree if you have one Currently connected device (anything 6-".

This may be a good thermostat if you need to control the temperature
5/5

was not able to get the thermostat to work. The instructions and multiple reviews made the same point and I read quite a bit of feedback on the web. In terms of cooling, it is unreliable. Normally my attic temperature is well below 80 degrees. However, I had a fan plugged into it and set it for 80 degrees and it ran continuously even when I think it was well below 65 is a more accurate number. After some back and forth, I was able to get.

It works for both the heat and the cold! Fortunately, there is a thermostat in my barn right next to the torpedo heater
5/5

During the summer months, I will run a large fan in the loft on it to cool it. I just found the switch on the back to switch it from heat to cool.

I use it for my small greenhouse with no problem
5/5

My heater was replaced with an electric heater with a mechanical thermostat, and I added this Econohome Thermostat to measure the temperature from further away, so far, I'm pleased with it and it keeps the temperature steady for me in my greenhouse no matter what I set it to.

This thermostat control was purchased for a 300W dog box heater. I have not had any issues with this heater. My previous setup didn't allow for easy control of the temperature and was.
