They worked on my Wiss m3 yellow-handled straight-cut snips, but I'm not sure if they're the same. They'll fit in your back pocket if you use the ones I have.
I have no idea what OTP stands for, but they work perfectly with my Wiss straight cut snips.

These springs have one more wire wrap than the very old ones that I broke. These do fit my old steps, but they are difficult to install unless you pinch the spring in a vice, slip a small socket over the tips of the spring, and then use the socket to push the spring into position in the tool while reinstalling the securing screw.
They're fantastic, and they'll go with a variety of brands. The Wiss P406 Replacement Spring for Wiss M1R, M3R, M5R, M7R, or M8R Aviation Snips is a great addition. br>These are strong springs that are a little heavier than the original equipment springs. I've also replaced the springs on a number of snips that had become brittle. It makes them much more user-friendly and efficient. br> This makes it a little more difficult to close the snips, but they are less likely to get stuck closed. br>It's fairly simple to replace the springs; simply remove the bolt, remove the old one, install the new one, and replace the bolt; some people find it helpful to compress the spring and zip tie it, or wire it compressed, or use any other method they feel comfortable with. You'll be able to get the bolt in with less difficulty this way. br>Over the years, I've repaired several for friends. I've even repaired a few broken snips I found at yard sales for cheap to use as extra cutters. I was even able to give a couple of the repaired ones to my children. Hey, it's a lot less expensive than purchasing new ones. br>So far, I've replaced several different Wiss snips with this part, which appears to fit most of their mainstream snips. br>I've also repaired a few DeWalt older style snips, as well as a few Craftsman and even a Tekton or two. I am not claiming that this is a universal solution. Some of the ones I've fixed needed a little tweaking. I wish I could give this a five-star rating because a complete set of springs for a few dollars seems like a great deal. These, on the other hand, appear to be a thicker gauge than the original spring. I couldn't get them to fit properly. I tried every trick I could think of, but eventually gave up and decided to use the springless version instead.
I did get the springs, a package of ten, but they were too big (thick) and would not fit between the two haves. br>In my WISS snips, the springs are RED in color. The snips are in their fifties and sixties. However, they appear to be identical to the ones in your advertisement. br>I was disappointed, and I am still unable to use my snips. br>Before I got them, these snips belonged to my father. I'm 75 years old, and I'd like to pass them down to my grandson. br>The springs you sent have an excessive number of coils. br>This is the first time I've been dissatisfied with an AMAZON order. Simply go out and buy a new set for $24. They sent me a bag of ten, which is fine, but for the way they fit and the time it took to install them, I would recommend purchasing a new cutter.
My older Wiss M1 snips had a broken spring. The M1R is listed as a replacement for these (and everyone else's). Will this spring work on an M1? That was the unanswered question. br>br>Well, it'll do for my M1. The shape is a little different, and this spring is noticeably thicker than the original M1. It was a tight fit, but I was able to get it installed. (Hint: During installation, make sure the spring is compressed. ) The snips are now fully functional. The new spring is more durable than the old one. The snips will be slightly more difficult to close as a result, but they will be less likely to become stuck closed.
The spring fits in the slot after you open it (bend it). The size is larger than the original.
PERFECT.
