Questions & Answers
It has a diameter of four inches.
It's not a good idea to let hot air out into the attic. Especially if you live in a state where the weather changes. Condensation is the result of hot air colliding with cold air. If you do that, you'll be a mold maker.

? So, let's start with what I liked about it: I bought it because it has everything you need to control the environment in your grow tent. The new fan design was a little strange, but I suppose it was functional. I noticed it was ziptied, which I thought was a great idea for getting the fan close to the top of the tent to maximize grow space. The temperature and humidity monitor is stylish. You can pretty much put it wherever you want in your tent. When it comes to them, the filter is pretty standard. br>br> As for why this kit is being returned to Vivosun. . . Really, who makes a fan with such a short cord?? It has to be at least 4 feet long if not more. I bought their (vivosun) 32x32 tent, which isn't a huge tent by any means, but there's no way I'm going to be able to set it up properly. Unless you have a multi outlet propped up on a stand or some type of shelf with enough length to daisy chain the cords and power the unit. I'm almost offended that you'd sell it at all. br>br>I'm no newbie when it comes to vivoson and their products. . . I actually like them and they haven't let me down yet (except for this one). . . . Instead, I'll probably order a regular fan from them, but this was a major hassle, ladies and gentlemen. br>br>stars for efficiencybr>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br.
It performs admirably and is reasonably priced, but it produces a lot of vibration and noise. If you put it somewhere other than your main living area, it should be fine, but be aware that the noise and vibration will be there for a long time. I still have this fan, and it works great, but if you're worried about a constant humming noise or vibration, I'd recommend a fan with AC in the name. They're much quieter in comparison, but they come at a higher price.
Okay, so it's a little tight because of the size of my tent, but that's to be expected. My temperatures, on the other hand, have dropped dramatically since I installed the sensor. I went from a high of 99 for the day to an average of 82, which is a significant improvement. My tent is 36x20x62 and it's on full blast with two 600w LED lights. I'll change how it's set up as time goes on, but so far it's working out well. I'll update my post if anything changes.
Everything you'll need to get a grow tent venting job done. I'm working with a 2x4 setup. I'll keep you updated if the smell becomes an issue.
For a small to medium grow tent, this inline air circulation system is ideal. The item was in excellent condition when it was delivered. Everything was packed separately in its own box and then bundled together in a larger outer box. Overall, the device works as expected. Up to a medium-sized grow tent, 190 CPM will suffice. Only two duct clamps were included, which was a little disappointing. To finish the installation, you'll need a third clamp. It's a little tricky to secure the duct hose to the fan through the opening. The fan's input and output ducts are exactly the same size as the hose. I was able to make it work, but it was difficult to say the least, which is why the installation received a four-star rating. br>br>Although the fan does an excellent job of reducing humidity in the tent, if you live in a high-humidity area of the country, you might want to consider adding a small dehumidifier. It will be extremely beneficial. The hygrometer that comes with the package is extremely useful. For successful plant growth, it's critical to monitor the humidity level in the grow tent. I've had no issues with the fan's performance. br>br> A variable speed controller built into the plug is used to turn on the fan. The fan operates at a relatively low volume. Although you can hear it a little, which is to be expected given the amount of air it circulates, I agree with others who have complained about the length of the power cord, which should be longer. For a small grow tent, this isn't a huge issue. A larger grow tent, on the other hand, would be difficult to manage. You'll have to be a little inventive. br>br>When you have a problem, Customer Service is quick to respond. In my growing system, I use only Vivosun products. The flood tray that came with my grow tent did not fit properly. It was replaced for free, no questions asked. Vivosun products have a one-year warranty. When contacting Customer Service, however, please send an email. Connecting with a live person over the phone is extremely difficult. Vivosun is a company that takes pride in their work. br>br>The system performs as expected.
I think this is an excellent product; the motor is powerful enough to extract or blow in air, and it runs quietly enough that it is almost unnoticeable; it's also a complete set; you don't need to buy any additional hoses or accessories; and the carbon filter that it comes with is definitely one of the better ones that I've seen; and it's also a complete set; you don't need to buy any additional hoses or accessories; and it's also a complete set.
Definitely expected more; my $20 inline fan blows more than twice as much air at the same volume; everything else in the kit is great; however, the fan died on 3/30/21 after about 3 days; I believe the filter overworked it.
The speed control gives the impression that the speed is on a sliding scale, which is what I'm assuming it is. However, there are two speeds to choose from. Whether you want it to be high or low. When you move the knob from the highest setting to M or L, the fan continues to run at the same 'low' speed regardless of where you place it on the slider. Aside from that, it's a nice high-speed breeze.
