A flawless operation is ensured through more than 150K cycles of testing. With all METAL gears, this heavy-duty motor is built to last.

The VDM10B HVAC damper motor can be installed in either Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC) applications. It comes with a stopper that can be adjusted.

What is the difference between this and ?

Normally closed actuators such as the M847D1012 don't require any additional steps when installing the VDM10 (or VDM10B). You just need to ensure the actuator is in the closed position when installing the actuator.

This actuator is well made and is worth considering especially at a price lower than that of Honeywell's

As a Honeywell customer, I was initially skeptical because the Honeywell brand name has always been the go-to for me Although the two actuators are from different brands, you'll notice this Valemo is made from metal pinion and drive gears, while the Honeywell uses plastic. Specifically, the actuator on my Honeywell unit was damaged and had to be replaced due to stripped plastic gear teeth. It seems like the Valemo actuator is a lot more heavy-duty. I think the outcome will be good, but we'll have to wait and see. It is also very easy to install.

I would say that this actuator is well constructed and should last for a long time. It took just 15 minutes to install and works really well. It wasn't hard to get a reply from the seller when I had a question about this item.

I purchased this replacement unit because the one I was using failed

I was able to set this up without any trouble. I'm very pleased to see that it's working This is hooked up as a normally open connection. My other zone closed as expected when my other unit called for heat (they are both on the same breaker). The new unit seems to be working well.
