You need to place the gas tank about 3/4" deep in my application, but you need to consider how you place it.
Definitely, but it's also self-explanatory How to install it is obvious
There may have to be a little trimming around the edge
It will not work if the pan becomes flooded with water because the unit will float on it.

This new one is a replacement for my 15year Trane AC Compressor seal. I still had my old one in use since it had continuity, though no record of how long it worked or if it had a test feature. A condensation drain pipe blocked up in the house of my brother and sister in law. A leak through the ceiling and on the floor cost thousands in repair and insurance hassles and hassles. The best part about this is it has a tester, while the AC is running if I'm up in the attic I can pull up on the knob and shut it off. I have not yet purchased the alarm but it does come with another wire for use with an alarm you can buy separately. Turning off the power to the main unit and checking my Fluke meter for low voltage were the first steps I took. Connecting the two wires is as simple as going from point A to point B! A POST-MODERN UPDATED Make sure you test the sensor frequently! My spring AC maintenance failed when I tested it, but I wasn't able to shut it off. All the connections are clean and tight and there is no corrosion on the test rod. The float switch finally turned the air conditioner off after 12 attempts pulling up the rod. My drain is not working due to debris under it in the drain pan. I have had it over a year and it's not working. Junk that's made in China. Trying a different brand is on the agenda.
It is my hope that this will work. As part of replacing my HVAC system, I bought this along with some other stuff. Purchasing from the supply house was about the same price as that of a contractor. In the case of an indoor unit with a drain pan, these items are standard items.
Installing the system is easy, so there's no reason not to have it for your attic. A screw driver and some zip ties were enough to install the device within five minutes.
I used it on my metal drain pan and it worked perfectly. You will have no problem installing it if you know what you're.
Having condensation or water build up is no longer an issue.
It is my hope that it will never be needed.
A small sump pump was cycled by using this switch. The number 1 is what I put. There is 5 amps of power through it at 120v. Ensure that the wires are properly connected. As a general rule, it also can be used to indicate "on" or "off".
