It was a simple repair that saved us money
5/5

A couple of days ago, my furnace stopped working. I bought this to fix the problem. I would start it, let it run for a few moments, shut it down again, then start it again if needed. I did a couple minutes of searching on the web and came to the conclusion that the flame sensor / thermocouple was the culprit. As soon as possible, I cleaned the heat measuring end (the long metal end with the 90 degree bend) with steel wool to get the furnace up and running on a short-term basis. The furnace worked immediately after we mounted it again, and we had heat again immediately. It was easy to set up the new sensor once it arrived and is now working perfectly.

There is a chill in the air
5/5

We awoke to a cold house a few weeks ago, and that was not so pleasant. When I checked the furnace, I discovered a thick coating of residue covering the flame sensor. This prevented the flame sensor As soon as I sanded it with emery cloth of fine grit, it began working again, but I ordered the new one and installed it when it arrived. To make sure I have a temporary backup should the flame sensor fail in the future, I now have the original. I have not had any problems since installing it, and it was easy to install. We now have a nice, toasty house on these cold mornings, and I'm glad I made this purchase.

This is a perfect fit
5/5

A problem I had with my Trane XL80 force air furnace was it would not stay The lights turn on, but turn off again. There was a problem with the flame sensor. I ordered this part because it was reasonably priced and it matched The old part was easily removed and the new part was easily installed. The new part fits perfectly and functions as expected. Now that the furnace is working properly, the house is heated to the Customer who is warm and satisfied.

Simple to replace the original sensor! It works great now! A few weeks later the same code came up again and the same fix did not work for it
5/5

I found videos on youtube explaining how to clean this sensor. I followed the video instructions put it back together and it worked the same day i ordered this sensor just in case I needed it again. Instead of the sensor I bought here, I replaced it with the one I bought here. To replace took less than a minute, and so far, it is working like new. If the price is right, I will buy a spare to have, as it is much cheaper to purchase and much faster than hiring a repairman who will charge you $300 to do it yourself.

I tried, but it did not It was unfortunately necessary to climb up into my attic and change the Flame Sensor, since the old one had stopped Fortunately, I kept the old one since this one only worked for a couple of days, and did not work as soon as I cleaned it
3/5

I just cleaned the old one again, and it works perfectly. All I need is a spare.

I ordered the right part
4/5

I received it exactly as I ordered it. It works great. It was last year that I called the furnace man for help with my furnace not starting. The things he did caught my attention. With the emery paper and emery paper polish he cleaned this piece and returned it to the machine in 5 minutes or less. Despite being recommended by a friend, she charged me $100 for the service call. It is approximated that the sensor is 25 years old and so it was time to replace it. I only took 5 minutes to complete the form I paid less than $14 with shipping for the part! Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the shipping was a bit slow!.

The furnace was replaced directly on a Trane HE
5/5

purchased this last year to try to resolve a problem I was having with my furnace. I found it straightforward to install and it worked well. You can find a number of videos that can help you solve your own furnace problems online. The sensor on my laptop was causing short cycling because it was clogged.

How wonderful it is to feel relief
5/5

I have a Trane XB furnace. This Flame Sensor is used for it. During the past Winter, it began blowing cold air from time to time. Through watching a few YouTube videos, I was able to locate the source of the problem. Flame Sensors were not being activated because soot coated them (apparently once hot enough, hot air kicks in, but the soot prevents them from obtaining a hot enough End connectors should have a red shroud on them. Please don't touch the metal prong with your fingers, as they are likely to have oil on them, contaminating it.
