The winter alone has seen me go through four of them. In Southern California, I rarely use my heater, but there are times when it's nice to turn on the bathroom heater in the mornings to take the chill off of the air. So far, I have gone through 2 of these and they last about 3 weeks before they burn During the winter, the heater is not used too often (maybe 30 minutes total in the mornings). A 30 day return policy makes this even more frustrating, followed by a 30-day warranty period and more time to send the item back. The part I am purchasing will last more than a month, so I will be paying a little more for it.

I have no idea why this heating element is designed in such a bad way. Featuring a 10A thermal fuse and a 1500-Watt heater, this product is ideal for use during cold weather. Thus, you need to get another element to replace the burned thermal fuse or replace the entire heater when the thermal fuse burns out quickly. It is possible to purchase a thermal fuse rated at 10A online, but they differ in temperature ratings. In addition to the addition of another thermal fuse, I have changed the element to a 20A one I don't know of other quick solutions for It has not yet been tested, but it will likely be installed next month or so when I will be able to.

The heater was installed in our ceiling in 2007 when we had our bathroom remodeled. The wintertime is the best time to take a bath in our bathroom! It's so nice to get ready in the warm water! Mike has been replacing the heating elements when they stop working for a long time. The electric heater we have installed in the ceiling has worked well for us.
