How long is a stretched piece of cloth The bricks in my kiln are 28" by 10" with 8" on the inside of each brick where the element will go. What are the chances these will ?

A 57-inch length can be reached by stretching the material. A 5cm ball. I found the product to be unsuitable for the situation you described. Sorry about that.

Spending money was the best decision I ever made

Compared to other heating elements that I have used, these are the best so far. To keep the heat output at 2150°F, I set a temperature limit. By 50 degrees, this is slightly above the recommended high limit.
