The size of the product does not matter. Despite being manufactured and branded by Lennox, this product is identical to theirs. looked at the product's dimensions 16x25x5 and compare it to a $160 Merv 16 filter from a Lennox dealer, and it appears to be the same size. It may seem strange that these filters, although they are listed as 16 x 25 x 5, measure about 1/2 inch undersize, but that is the way these filters arrive. The issue is not a concern! I am posting Update 1 today The filters are not exact in size and shouldn't be because the cabinet the filters sit in has a small shelf that they sit on, and the end cap that closes the enclosure has a foam pad that pushes against the end of the filter completely sealing it all the way around.

In reality, this filter is 5/8" short in all three dimensions, and although this is clarified in the product description, it is being marketed as a 16"x25"x5" filter, which is not the case. Since it does not fit properly in my filter box, I will be replacing it as soon as I receive my new air bear filter.
