I'm not sure, but it doesn't seem to be a particularly tight spring. It is simple to open.

Inside, however, I had to cut 6" axial slots into the duct to accommodate the damper plate pivot rod (which is longer than the duct width).

When installing fittings on flexible duct, some will make you want to scream, while others will make you even more enraged. Then there are the ones that are like this. If it were possible, I would declare that AC Infinity should make all duct fittings and, in fact, all duct. Opening the box and holding the actual fitting, heavy weight, nice, smooth finish, no rough or sharp edges, you immediately know this is going to be different. I've never seen anything quite like it when it comes to ductwork materials. This was before I tried to install flex duct from the top of a ladder in a hot room that was getting hotter by the minute because the exhaust wasn't connected. I think climbing the short step ladder took me longer than slipping the tubing onto both ends of this fitting. Buttah, if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself The world would be a better place if I could get every fitting from these guys or someone similar to these guys. A+++.
We have the issue that we have air flowing back from the kitchen exhaust and since ours and the neighbors (yay condo living) are right next to each other, every time they get their food going and exhaust running, our exhaust is pulling in the air and the stench from the food is coming right out of our microwave. We can turn a draft damper from HD and wasn't happy with the heaviness of the damper, it only opened with a heavy draft which doesn't work for the kitchen exhaust. The backdraft damper keeps the outside air out, and while it's not perfect, I think it does a good job. br>Installation is simple, and the quality is superior to the first one I purchased from a neighborhood store.
First and foremost, I employ this in a manner in which it was not intended; It does, however, work perfectly as an exhaust vent for my grow tent. I simply inserted it into the duct hole and turned it off. My ac infinity duct fan is opened when it is turned on to level 1. It works wonders at keeping light and humidity in while keeping bugs out.
It's a bathroom fan that I installed. At low speeds, it is significantly quieter than the existing fan, and at higher speeds, it draws enough air to cause the toilet paper to flap in the breeze. It's well-made and simple to keep clean. My only complaint is that the fan control could be made to fit into a two-gang box more easily. I did it, but it took some effort to open the faceplate a little and solder directly to the electronics instead of using the plug.
We couldn't find one locally and would have had to order one from somewhere else, which would have taken more than two weeks. A dehumidifier had to be installed as soon as possible. We made the decision to try it out. This item appears to be of higher quality than the others we were considering, but I was concerned because I have Multiple Chemical Sensitivities, which makes it extremely difficult for me to find products that do not cause me to react. The majority of things have to go. I'd have to store the gas for weeks, months, or even years before I could use it, and it'd be installed in our HVAC system. We believe that because this item is powder coated, it will last longer. Although, like everything else, I was initially allergic to it, my husband installed it after a few days, and I am happy to report that there was no major odor and that I was able to use the system. Thank you for providing a high-quality product that we were able to obtain so quickly; I would highly recommend this product and would purchase it again.
This was installed on the vent for my above-the-range microwave. It was as simple as cutting the vent, inserting this, and taping it back up. It is completely inaudible to me, and it keeps drafts at bay. In the past, when it was cold in the morning, my microwave and the wall behind it would be frozen. It's now always at room temperature.
While installing a new range hood, I realized (here in Colorado) that cold air could infiltrate past the hood's valve, so I decided to add a second valve at the ceiling to prevent this. The part was of excellent quality, and the rubber "band" that surrounds the top and bottom of the part ensures that everything is secure. Could we get these guys to make pretty much anything, as someone else suggested?.
It's quite lovely! The housing is made of ridged sheet metal and is not cheap. br>Doesn't bend or flex when installed, so you don't have to worry about it deforming the housing and sticking the flapper doors. br>In fact, due to the thickness of the housing, self-tapping screws would be difficult to install without pre-drilling. drilling.
