If I need 5" clamps, will the 6" clamps adjust down? The ten-inch clamps are great, they fit 9", 8", and smaller, and they can be adjusted to fit any size. ?

In my opinion, the 6 inch cannot be adjusted that far down. It is likely that they will go up in diameter, but not much lower. If you want them to expand to over one inch, you perhaps should go for the 4 inch ones.

How far can you reach with a duct clamp that is 8'? Is it necessary for the clamp to open to 8 1/2 in order to fit the duct on the hose for an 8' duct?

There is enough room in the clamp for an 8" duct to slip over it.

Is this large enough for over ten people Is it possible to get flexible insulated duct with inside diameter of 10 inches? A full inch. Up to the point of insulation compression, the outside diameter is larger. ?

If you want to fit these around insulated ducting that is a little bigger than 10 inches, you can loosen these.

I ordered a 6" flex pipe to finish hooking it up. Initially, I ran 6" metal duct as far as I could, but had to drop down to To achieve this stepdown, I used this flex in short runs. With my 3hp dust collector in hand, I can trust the metal wire in the pipe to be sturdy. Likewise, the clamps worked well, and they allowed enough room for the pipe to be placed over the male end of the duct and tightened appropriately The size of the shoes did not bother me. This product was able to complete the task for which I purchased it therefore, I was satisfied.

There is no such thing as too large a clamp

It was an unconventional way of using these clamps. Recent moves to rural areas have resulted in the mailboxes being lined up on the intersections at the highways. Since our mailbox only fit on one side of the main post, we had to screw it to the outside. The next day, the main post was rotten and where the screw had gone through the wood had begun to peel out like a banana. Our mailbox was now lying In order to secure the mailbox, we clamped the post all around, tightened the clamps, and then attached the mailbox to it. that our mailbox has been attached nicely, we can start using it.

It is known that Supervent makes a clamp for their pipes, but they cost around $10 apiece and are not as good as This is a great deal,.

It appears that these clamps are quite durable and did a good job on a 5" project. Although they are not large enough to clamp over flexible hose 6 inches in diameter!.
