Questions & Answers
We don't have that capability.
Is this a KOBE unit? Best of luck! The lights on the two units I purchased do not work, and I have been unable to get a response from the company (I, my contractor, and even Amazon representatives have all called and emailed multiple times a week for over three months with no response). Expect nothing to be honored by them).
Before turning the pipe, I believe the manufacturer recommends a distance of at least 12" from the unit; please refer to the installation instructions in the manual for more information.

I pulled the trigger on this Kobe 36" insert range hood for our complete kitchen remodel after conducting so much research that I never wanted to look at another vent hood again. Ironically, this was the first item I bought for our remodel, and it was the last thing we installed almost a year later (we did the whole thing ourselves). The hood is up and running, and we've used it a few times, but it's not finished yet (the wood and drywall box around it are finished but not painted); When it's all done, I'll try to remember to take a picture and post it. br>br>First and foremost, this hood is extremely attractive. It does a great job of balancing the industrial with the sleek. Our new kitchen is transitional in style, so this is a perfect match. Second, this thing is a huge air sucker! We usually use it on three (the range goes from one to three). 5) Stand back and watch it pull steam from a pot of boiling water out of the room. Ours is set to reach 18" from the ceiling, which is higher than the recommended 36" above the cooktop (I believe it's at 42-inch height). It works perfectly up to 48" above ground level. This is fantastic because it doesn't obstruct our view into our newly opened-up space. Beautiful kitchen with an interesting concept. We wanted a hood that would blend in visually, and this one succeeds in doing so while still sucking up heat, steam, grease, and odor. Finally, there are some really nice features on this hood: br>br>
- Cleaning the grease pans is a breeze.
- The lighting is fantastic. Even from the higher installation point, the bright setting provides excellent task lighting and nicely illuminates our cooktop. Lower brightness levels are ideal for evening ambient lighting.
- The included remote (which must be ordered separately/directly from Kobe) makes it easy to turn on the fan and lights without having to reach above the hot cooking surface. Because we planned to install our hood higher up, this was especially important to us. It has a magnetic back that allows it to be attached to a device. We simply keep ours in the drawer next to the stove.
- The "eco mode" is ideal for circulating air in the kitchen or throughout the house on occasion. br>br>So far, we've been very pleased with this hood and would recommend it to others. I did a lot of research before deciding on this brand/model, and I believe it is the best value for the strength, lighting, and features it provides. br>br>March 2021 Update: We still enjoy it after having it installed for so long. There are no issues, and everything stated above is still valid. We now actually USE our hood vent because we like it, whereas we never did before our remodel because it was grody and loud - LOL.
When they finally agreed, they tried to persuade me to provide a credit card number so that they could bill me for the visit! Is it even legal to do something like that? It isn't mentioned in their warranty documents or product descriptions. Warranty Says 100% It It It It It It% The hood is a complete waste of time. This company has no right to exist.
When I had this unit installed, the wiring inside of it burned out, nearly destroying my home. I have pictures but don't know how to post them because I didn't buy this product.
But! Definitely a 5-star rating. However, I agree with some of the other reviews that when installed, the lighting will illuminate more of the back of your range. Furthermore, the lights have a 2700K color temperature. Yellow to the core! I'm currently attempting to replace the bulbs with 3500K bulbs.
I had two units installed side by side, and the lights on one unit immediately stopped working, and the lights on the second unit went out shortly after. For the amount of air that is circulated, fans are extremely loud. br>I've called the company three times and have yet to receive a response. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> NO RESPONSE FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE OR THE TECH DEPARTMENT HAS BEEN RECEIVED IN FOUR MONTHS (purchased 9/18/20). I'm out nearly $1400, and there's nothing I can do about it?.
This liner was recently installed in the custom hood that was made for it by my cabinet maker. It turned out to be stunning. It includes a remote control, which is extremely useful. My Kitchen Aid 6 burner stove fits perfectly in this width. It has three different venting speeds. I've been using the Low and Med the most, and while the High is loud, it has a lot of suction. It has a timer and a high and low light setting that you can adjust. It's a sunny day. This hood liner is something I would strongly recommend, and I have.
The condition of this vent was described as "as new. " When I turned it on, I discovered the squirrel cage fan rubbing against the motor housing, making a horribly loud noise, and the plastic from the fan blades being shredded by the motor.
We used a shiplap box to wrap ours in. This is a unit I strongly recommend. Commercial-grade lighting and fans are used. You will not be disappointed.
