Is there a nasty plastic film that takes a long time to remove with this?

Operation is loud, and the flue design is unattractive

If your ceilings are higher than 8 feet, this isn't the right range hood for you. br>The two covers can't be put together without creating an unsightly seam and risking scratching the upper cover. It might not be such a problem if the flue was made of a thicker gauged material. br> br>There are a few details in the assembly that were not well thought out. br>br>When set to the lowest speed, the fan is quite loud. br>The hood is made of a sturdy material. Overall, this unit has an unsightly flue and operates at an excessively loud volume. I wish I had received something different.

AWESOME new feature! In our cottage home, my kitchen is small, but the addition of this vent above the stove is well worth it

The cabinets above the stove in our kitchen were typical. They were removed, and a new backsplash and stove vent were installed in their place. I can't afford new cabinets, but the new look is refreshing and makes me smile, which is all that matters, according to my husband. The vent is INCREDIBLY effective. It has a lot of light and is very quiet. My retired husband said that the installation went smoothly and that he was pleased with the results.

The package is missing filters

There were no filters in the package. This was discovered after the contractor had completed the installation. I'm currently on the lookout for replacement filters.

It looks fantastic. It really works. Any smoke or steam is completely removed. There are three speed buttons, as well as an off and a light button. Dishwasher-safe filters are available.

It looks great, but it's a LOT of noise

This hood is incredibly attractive. To complete my full kitchen renovation, I needed a style that was exactly what I was looking for. I can easily see what I'm cooking because the lights are nice and bright. But, my goodness, it's deafeningly loud. It's louder on low than my previous Broan product was on high. I'm no longer able to hear the sounds of food being prepared. I've had this up for about a month now, and I'm seriously considering changing it.
