Apart from the 30" width, the ad did not specify any other dimensions. As a result, it was too big, and the cut-out had to be made. I needed outs, but they weren't quite right. What was I supposed to do if I didn't know? All measurements are required for a product like this. I need to return this, as well as come up with a different solution - which I will have to make myself.
The liner, however, is in perfect condition. Dear Broan, Here's how to be perceived as corporate scrooges who will gladly inconvenience customers in order to save a buck: If you sell a piece with six mounting holes, you can include a sealed packet with four mounting screws in the package. For insanity, I deducted two stars.
I'm sure it would have worked perfectly, but we didn't need it, and customer service was a nightmare to deal with when it came time to return it. We still have one if anyone needs it!br>br> We'd be happy to sell it to you for a little less than what we paid for it because it's brand new and in excellent condition.
The measurements were precise. Even though it was slightly different, it was the closest I could find for my hood cabinet, so I was hopeful and figured I'd give it a shot. However, the front was an inch too wide. It's back to square one.
We had a hard time fitting this tee-shaped hood liner into the available space. To avoid crushing the hood liner during installation, the cabinets had to be shimmed out. In photos, the hood liner appears to be stainless steel, but it is actually a grey coating that should last for a long time. We had to drill a few holes because the existing ones were too small for the Broan PM390 we installed.
When paired with the Broan PM250, this was a breeze to set up. With my new built-in range hood cabinet, I worked perfectly in my kitchen remodel.
Everything fit perfectly and went together without a hitch.
