Waste King SS8000 is too small, and this is not compatible with it. Returning it to Amazon was a good decision. The only one I can find, however, does not fit anywhere.

Please be aware The replacement for Waste King is not the same as the original Follow the steps below to solve this problem

In fact, yes The black part that fits a Waste King is not the same as that that came with the disposal, other than it being the same size as the OEM part. This falsely advertised product does not allow food to pass through the splash guard. The original part allowed food to pass easily If you want to put food into the disposal, you need to remove the lid. Then invest another $12 in the Tekton crow bar (available on Amazon). If you insist on buying this, then upgrade to the Tekton crow bar. If you use a crow bar, you'll need it to push the food through the splash guard, but make sure not to dislodge the disposer from your sink when doing so. Here is where you can find it This is TEKTON 3324 18-28 The Wrecking Bar is a 12 inch bar. The small openings in the large waste kings are usually large enough to allow food through without a crow bar. If you prefer not to use a crow bar, Amazon sells a 3" splash guard that will fit into these Find the Whirlaway 191 & 201 on a regular basis Replacement garbage disposal to stopper splash guard 291. It has flexible rubber just like the original that comes with disposers.

Because it functions just like the original that came with our disposal when we bought it years ago, I gave it a five-star rating
5/5

Because of the negative reviews I read, I was about to pass on buying this, but being in need of a new splash guard, I decided to purchase Since I have been using this for almost a month, I have to wonder if those that gave it a bad review used a brand new Waste King disposal or if they have one that has already been installed in their homes and the splash guard is older and worn. It is my opinion that if they had they would have realized "food will be able to easily pass through the mesh" just the way the original guard fit and worked, and that Over five years ago, I replaced my old garbage disposal with a Waste King 8000. In the last few weeks, I've been noticing that sometimes when I run the disposal, my guard would pop out, spraying nasty, chunky water everywhere! There was a time when it fell into the disposal while it The tight fitting is the best feature of this product! It also keeps items from falling through the old splash guard. Have you ever chopped up your spoon or cleaned your shot glass because it fell into your disposal and you didn't see it? That's what I did! I am pleased to say that since I replaced the old guard with this new one, neither my silverware nor shot glasses are falling It is possible that such thicker, larger pieces of food need a little help getting through, but once again that is how the original system works and it is worth knowing that that food that shouldn't go through the guard does not get ground up by accident. Having a guard is not for nothing, as to guard is their whole purpose. Because it functions just like the original that came with our disposal when we bought it years ago, I gave it a five-star rating.

like a charm It is not necessary to listen to the confused buyers' complaints
5/5

In a nutshell, Prior to buying this product, I had seen a lot of negative reviews about how its rubber fins were too stiff and wouldn't let food or water go down the drain. In addition, people kept having to "pull it out" in order to drain their sinks. How can they not know what happens to a utensil after a while? In my experience, I have used garbage disposals almost all my life, so I understand that this complaint was unjust. For this price, I could not find many other options that fit my model disposal AND included the stopper, so I paid full price for this one despite the reviews making me unsure. That is right, this product works perfectly well. There seems to be a lot of people who are making negative reviews for this splash guard who don't even understand the very basics. Are they possibly using old worn out ones that came with their house/apartment when they moved in but were never able to see a functioning one? The device keeps large chunks of food or foreign objects like utensils from going down the disposal by accident, which is what it should do, and it also prevents the water down there from splashing up when the disposal is running, which is what it should do. This device does NOT prevent water from draining in any way (see video attached). When I force large food chunks down with the end of a utensil, like I sometimes have to, the fit in my Waste King disposal unit is snug but I haven't seen it come off. I know this sounds strange, but most larger chunks of food should not go down the drain anyway, if you don't believe me, just read the garbage disposal manual! Food chunks larger than that, however, should be thrown away in the trash rather than down the drain, since they could cause damage or clog the disposal. A few smaller pieces of food can still pass down the central hole, where the majority of the water flows.

The item is not for sale
3/5

In a nutshell, It is a bit tough for me with this product. I bought it to replace the splash guard I had broken. I desperately needed it to work. This is a splash guard I found after looking into splash guards. The product appeared to be a good choice, however, after using it for about two months, I am not convinced. Both parts are included in the package There is a sink stopper and a splash guard in my sink, but the splash guard acts more like a sink stopper. A lack of flexibility is evident. There is no way to get food down the hole since it becomes trapped. There is a lot of water that collects on the splash guard, and I scream every time I have to remove it. The splash guard stopper does work, though! I find that to be I wonder if the newer guards were made of a different rubber material than the older ones. I think being more flexible is a good idea. These are some suggestions I would like to make I don't think so! There's got to be a better option Nevertheless, if you only need it for short-term relief,.

I would not recommend splash guard because it is too stiff and does not stay put
3/5

The recommendation is not to use it. I was extremely dissatisfied with this product. The splash guard is way too stiff and does not allow the food scraps to fall easily into the disposal. When I flush the scraps through, the splash guard is often pulled out, requiring me to take a utensil and force the scraps through. I have also noticed that when I turn on the disposal with a lot of scraps inside, it generates so much force that the splash guard often falls into the disposal when I turn it on. will have to put my hand into it to take it out. The work I do doesn't really suit me. This is definitely not a product I would recommend.
