As far as I can tell, I think it looks more like brushed nickel than stainless steel (since it has a hint of yellow, and there are more brushed lines on the surface). There is a flange on my stainless-steel sink that does not look too bad (although I still would prefer a genuine stainless
The disposals from Titan will work with this. The sink I purchased is this one, and this is the flange I bought for it.
In fact, Blanco Silgranit II and Waste King 8000 work together
I have been trying to use it with my Waste King L1001 so it seems to work with it
Selected User Reviews For Mr. Scrappy CSFS-BK-93 Custom Color Sink Flange and Stopper Set, Black
The purpose for which we bought this was to replace a flange for our waste king that was stainless steel and was fitted Since the stainless cap wouldn't stay on, it was impossible to flush everything down the disposal as it would get caught in a lip that formed when the stainless cap was removed. In the absence of the cap, the stainless steel surface was black plastic. While I checked the local hardware stores as well as Lowe's and Home Depot, I couldn't find a replacement flange that would not require Mr. Scrappy proved himself to be a worthy replacement the part installed that went in easily and is still looking brand new.
During the installation of our new Waste King 3300, which ships with a cheap plastic flange stamped with a "Waste King" logo on the rim, my wife intervened to stop me. "Waste King" was a very visible feature in her new kitchen sink, and she could not stand the sight. White and bisque were the only available colors for the waste king alternative flange and EZ mount fitting. That's a shame. While searching online, I found this unit which appears to be the same as a waste king flange, but which has far better quality and is substantially cheaper than a comparable Westbrass custom flange. Considering this unit is made out of 100% metal, this is quite a sturdy product. This product is made by the same brand manufacturer as Waste King event, we were pleased to discover that our sink now has a flange that matches the finish of our sink, but does not scream "waste king"!.
Just like others have said, I am also disappointed with the speed with which this was finished. I had no trouble installing the device, and getting a good seal was also a breeze. I had it for less than two weeks when the tarnish started to come off, and now it is permanently tarnished. It was never cleaned with any other type of cleaner than dish soap, so it should not have degraded in the way.
It's very pretty, and the brass is very well made. This item is marketed as being made to fit EZ-lock mechanisms EZmount disposals (Anaheim Manufacturing) had a groove at the bottom of the throat that was too small to receive the clever rubber gasket. During a battle with my disposal and stupid ezmount rubber and mounting ring under the kitchen sink, I spent a huge amount of time under there. As soon as I switched back to the plastic flange included with the disposal, the disposal installed without any trouble. Despite my warehouse deal, Mr. Scrappy flange ended up being a bad deal.
We have a black granite single bowl sink that we love, but the ring that comes with the disposal is always stainless finish and normally has the name of the product engraved on it in large The black flange and stopper set at a local big box store is what we bought since we knew it would look terrible. We had it installed by a plumber, and it lasted about a month before flaking started. Our plumber put the original one on to see if that would help. It did not work, and so we had to replace Apparently I didn't like it so I searched for another one and installed it. It has not flaked since installation. Thank you so much, it's very nice to have a good looking sink.
A plastic disposer flange that came with my set-up broke and I was shocked by the price when I looked online for a new one. My family and I were delighted to find this solid piece of plumbing at such a reasonable price. It was simple to install, and was worth the price. Neither it nor the previous flange come with the rubber insert that covers the drain/disposer innards, and the one in the previous flange is too small, so there's an additional purchase required. Here's an update The rating has been changed A lot of this thing's surfaces have scratched over the years, and it looks very bad now. The quality of what you pay for is what you get, It was impossible for me to find an insert that fit properly as well.
This is a very heavy duty, solid metal product. While this ring looks like stainless steel, it is actually satin nickel, and not stainless steel. Although the stainless steel looks nice on the exterior, the interior has a brushed stainless steel look. There is no rhyme or reason why they didn't use that same brushed surface all the way around However, I still prefer it to the one that came with my disposal in my stainless steel sink.
This one will match the other side of the sink the drain goes into. Excellent purchase! We are very happy with it!.
