Can you tell me what the dimensions of the part that sits on top of the counter are? My marble hole already has a hole drilled into it, so the hole should be covered. ?

It is approximately 4 1/2 cm wide, and my boiling water faucet cover is 5 cm wide if that's what you need.

What is the procedure for changing it, do you twist it off or do you just snap it ?

You can just pull/snap off a different color if you ask about changing it out.

In addition to the kit, I also need to acquire it. Can there be one to go along ?

A STS00 kit would be provided by InSinkErator.

Is it necessary to drill a hole in the top of the sink?

3/4" seems to be the correct answer. However, I am unable to find my paperwork there. A hole was drilled in the countertop by countertop people. It is a big part of our lives.
