Questions & Answers

What is the likelihood of this part functioning on a Kitchen Aid ?

Insinkerator 75257 seems to be identical to the Kitchenaid stopper in every way. I could not locate a published reference to make sure, but I found a picture of the Kitchenaid stopper. As far as I know, Insinkerator actually makes ALL the garbage disposal brands, and the other companies simply brand them with their name. It is also worth noting that a buyer left their review back in Sept 2008 saying that they bought one to fit their Kitchenaid disposal and it worked (Type kitchenaid in the reviews search box to find the full review). You would have to get one and give it a try to be sure, but it seems like it might work on your Kitchenaid. Amazon's return policy allows you to return items. There's no need to worry. If you succeed, please let us all know.

What if I want to use it with the Pro Cover Control Insinkerator?

A cover control model of the Evolution Plus Pro is owned by me. In this case, it works well

Do you have a solution ?

Hi Rebecca, it appears that this stopper might work although the picture on the Insinkerator website shows the newer version. Thanks. Nevertheless, you should contact the manufacturer to make sure that the part is compatible before purchasing 800-450-6238 There are 558. Here's an example of a 5700*br>Hopefully it helps. Thank you and all the best, Gigi Schwartz, Customer Service Manager, It's Easy! Supplies for the Plumbing Industry

Do you think this will work with a Viking The stopper appears to be identical to my own, and the dimensions look ?

Sorry, but I am unable to determine whether an Insinkerator cap is compatible with a Viking batch feed disposal. My guess is that the Viking product is manufactured by Insinkerator, but I have no proof to back this up.

In a moment of weakness I replaced the original Insinkerator stopper to save myself from having to argue with my husband
5/5

I'm not sure what possessed him to repeatedly put the original stopper in the dishwasher, but please DO NOT do that. Our disposal was completely destroyed, and it was no longer able to fit into the We no longer argue over why the stopper was damaged in the first place, since the replacement stopper works perfectly.

It gave my disposal a new lease on life
5/5

It took me a while to realize how much the original cost (maybe 10-20 It is 15 years old) and the stoppers/switch had aged. You had to hold the old one in just the right spot, carefully, for the disposal to turn on for the past couple of years. I occasionally had to rotate it a bit to get it going. My mind was wandering whether the disposal itself had worn out, but after reading other reviews here, I decided to try this new switch/stopper. As you turn the disposal on and off, you feel definite "clicks" and can easily move the disposal as you do so. It looks like it just came out of the box.

A period of four months was all she lasted
3/5

As soon as I got it, it worked perfectly, but when I used it after 4 months, it lasted almost no longer. My account was created on September 15th, 2014, and as of today, January 10th, I am still active. There is no way to use it anymore. My problem is this while I am turning the disposal on with it - I get a scrolling screen. Just slipping right past the On position without flicking the switch does not seem to work. To get it to turn on, I have to move it very close to the On position and jiggle it a lot. In some cases, it works, but in others, it does not. A 9-year period was typical for the original. Approximately four months have passed since this one. Thus, I am extremely Actually, a new one of these wouldn't bother me if I had to pay 35 bucks every two years. Every year or even every month. 4 months is still too long. I'd like to talk to you.

After three years, the organization disintegrated
3/5

When the device was initially installed, it worked well By installing a wall switch we solved the problem of the prior owners spending a great deal of money on a garbage disposal without getting one that had a switch on it. As a result, this device turns on the power safely and requires no human intervention. Things that nannies do. THERE IS A 2- BUT Two and a half years later, it has disintegrated and one magnet was separated from the rest. It would be great if you could tell me how to hard-wire the disposal to a more ecologically sustainable way Generally, sink switches are used. This is absurd. It is best to stay away from this type of disposal. There are only a few options if you have one, other than a complete rewiring and change out.

Despite being built to last, it broke the minute it reached its two-year mark
3/5

The original stopper had worn down due to collecting filings and debris from pads of steel wool, and I had to order this to replace it. Although we've avoided using steel wool in this sink since we discovered it, they've failed so quickly that the replaced stopper has disintegrated already. One of the four plastic stubs that hold the magnets that engage the motor has broken off. Although it still works for now, I find the inability to hold up after barely 24 months of normal use disappointing, particularly for.

Exactly the same as the original
5/5

As I had done on previous occasions, I put the original in- Is a sink- We frequently need to clean the underside of the plug of the erator switch in the dishwasher since food accumulates over time. What I didn't realize was that the heat was warping the outer ring and causing damage to the magnetic contact points, which ultimately rendered the switch useless. The product you are ordering is a direct replacement, and I should have ordered it years earlier. Likewise, be sure not to put it in the dishwasher.

I'm very pleased with this magnetic stopper! The sink stopper is only an object, so how glamorous could it As for fit, it is extremely well designed, the magnet works magic in running the disposal with a twist of the wrist
5/5

The black and shiny design is perfect. We would not be able to go about our daily lives without it, and we would have to deal with the unpleasantries. This is something I would consider buying again, although it appears it may last a substantial amount of time.

The new version seems to fit the original better
5/5

The situation has so far been positive. While it's a bit expensive for what it is, Insinkerator should make the product so that it isn't required to be replaced after just ONE year of installation (which is not very often). There is a good reason to choose this replacement over Compared to the original, I think the replacement fits better. The original had a tight fit that only got worse with time. As we will see, it might not last that long. Although right now it is set to stay on when it is turned on, so I would just switch it off by the wall switch just in case it is the same issue as the other (the screw was so tight I couldn't move.
