It was necessary for the appliance service to order a new unit and bring a new set of rubber hoses (made in the USA). Later that night, I spent $250 dollars. The reason I threw them out was that I feared they would be repackaged and harm someone else's washer. The installation company showed me that the threads on the nylon hose mounts were too sharp and damaged the solenoid assembly for the washing machine. I spent an outrageous amount of money on this.
In a nutshell The hose had cracks in the metal end right where the metal meets the plastic. I heard a hissing sound in our laundry room and then found the hose has a poor quality. This is exactly the same issue that Raymond H Ackley and Ashley Brown raised in their review. This hose has been replaced with the EASTMAN braided stainless hose. It's easy to tell the difference in quality between those two products. You should stay away from this product unless you want a costly leak in your home because the metal connection to the nylon will not cut the hose. It has more stainless braid and brass valves as well.
My mother had a laundry service when I was growing up and I have done laundry ever since. My laundry room has seen hundreds and thousands of loads of laundry, yet I have never once given consideration to the water intake hose. For obvious reasons, I disconnected the hoses on the washing machine a couple of weeks ago while I was painting the laundry room. At the point where the rubber meets the connection flange, one of the hoses developed a bulge. I am glad I took a moment to look at the hose because the condition was obviously not good. It would've made a great deal of mess and ruined the paint job if that bulge burst. In my research, I found the stainless steel hoses, which I believe would be a better option to prevent future incidents of this nature. As a result of Amazon's free same-day delivery on a Sunday, I was able to resolve my problem within a few hours. I found the experience to be beyond satisfactory.
I would have preferred they came with inlet screens on one end, as they are fine quality, flexible and should last a long time. The only concern I have is the lack of In the past, washer hoses included screens, but that does not seem to be the case now. Most washing machines come with screens installed on the valves at the inlet these days. The GE I have This must be something that hose manufacturers are aware of and perhaps figure that by excluding the screen, they can keep the cost of the hoses low. As far as I'm aware, that's the answer I got when I asked K&L about it.
Many of us probably don't have washing machines in basements where less valuable things are likely to be kept, but if you have yours on the second floor above your living space, just imagine how much damage would result if your water lines bursting when you're In other words, that's just a constant flow of water until you shut it off before you go home or wake up. This gave me a small bit more peace of mind, and I am glad I bought them. As soon as you unpack these supply lines, you can feel the weight of their quality. These are worth the price. Make sure to purchase. Make sure that your house is protected.
As I searched for the new hoses to replace my older rubber ones, I found many choices. I thought these looked decent, other than the rubber, thick Floodchek brand hoses, which are very expensive, and had been backordered for an indefinite period of time. Flexibility and vibration resistance are some of the things I wanted from the rubber core rather than the pvc core. Rustproof and well-built, the fittings can be used almost anywhere The connector washers are thick and supple, and I coated them with silicone grease so they won't lose their elasticity when crimped. A stainless braid may prevent rubber hose blowouts. Despite not being rated for 1500lbs, these hoses can still do My reasoning was that pvc core stainless braided which can withstand 2000 psi would also have vibration resistance (i. e. The crack resistance) is more important than the There is about zero OD on these. My old rubber hoses without steel are 6," so I could add a thicker hose, given that my old rubber hoses with steel are 0. " Besides just installing 7" lengths of thick rubber 5/8" ID auto heater hose about 12" from each end of hose, I also wrapped vinyl tape around the crimped connectors (the weakest point of all hoses) to give them some more strength. As a result, flexing stress at the connector crimps is eliminated, and stress is dispersed over the remaining length of the free-end. A hose hanging from the ceiling. My front loading machine no longer moves a lot on account of the 12 one gallon bottles of water strapped to the top of its frame. There is very little overall hose movement now on the front loading machine which typically moves a lot. We'll have to wait and see how well they hold up in the long run- In my extra-curriculars, I have a lot of time There is a paranoid strain relief modification.
I guess a leakproof hose isn't really so leak proof. Five months after they installed it, the hose began to leak. It is highly recommended that you take extreme precaution when purchasing this product. early, so the damage wasn't severe. However, it's still not good to have water dripping from your walls and leaking into your basement. My research on which product to buy entailed lots of extensive research, but I was duped by It is only possible to explain this by a poor quality control system. I wish you luck in contacting the manufacturer as well. I could not find this company on the Amazon website, and searches did not yield any results. I have plenty of pictures to prove that the product is defective.
It is fantastic to have stainless steel washing machine hoses. Immediately after opening the package, I could tell that they were made from stainless steel of excellent quality and that the fittings at the ends were also extremely precise. In addition to being the perfect size for my laundry room, they are far more attractive than the rubber hoses that come with the original purchase of the washing machine. My satisfaction with the performance and style of these stainless steel hoses & fittings cannot be overstated When in need of washing machine hoses to replace or upgrade, I highly recommend them. A red and black band is on the hoses A blue thread runs through each to make it easy to identify the hot ones and not the cold ones A cold day. This was a great purchase and I'm very pleased with it.
