Selected User Reviews For Waterdrop XWF NSF Certified Replacement For GE XWF Refrigerator Water Filter, Pack of 3
A brand belonging to GE has been almost paid for it's a 3-year-old brand It costs four times as much. I just wanted to let you know that NSF no longer certifies.
Since I have used generic filter in the past, and they have not been as effective as I would have liked, I was skeptical. Although my GE refrigerator filter lasted only three months after delivery, it was still fine for three months after installation. The filter that I got for three months was $60, and I didn't want to spend that much. Based on the online reviews, I decided to give it a shot. Therefore, I am very pleased with what I have seen so far. Among the problems I have is that my tap water has an objectionable taste. I find that the water is very good with these filters, perhaps even better than GE filters. The length of time this filter lasts will be the deciding factor. Nonetheless, even though it only lasts one or two months for the money, it is still probably worth the purchase. Should the filter not last for very long, I will update.
On some of the new GE refrigerators, RF identification is used. The claim is that the food is NSF-certified, but they also note that it is self-certified. In some industries, this is common. It's difficult for me to tell whether this filter is better or worse than others since I live in an area where the water quality is good. Although it does not cause any harm to the water or make it taste worse, it does not harm the water either. One of the nice things about this is that the charcoal is very tightly packed. In the past, I have used filters that produced a considerable amount of charcoal on initial use and thus darkened the water. There were mostly clear glass pieces on the first side of the filter. In order to test it to ensure it's functioning, you'll need to run two gallons of water through it after installation. The new GE refrigerators use an RF system to communicate with the filter, which enables the refrigerator to be able A chip needs to be incorporated into the filter in order to accomplish this. Neither this filter nor its chip has any electronics. In this case, the refrigerator will indicate that it needs a filter if you are using the filter on one of these new refrigerators. It is not true that all new GE refrigerators use this new RF Having just updated to a new Profile in mid 2020, I was disappointed to find it missing. Looking at the filter number and getting a replacement with the same value makes it simple to tell if your filter does.
There is value. There is value. GE branded filters are so expensive, and I would have probably lost $50+tx if I hadn't done some research. I found the waterdrop XWF (3) pack of filters after doing some quick research. The GE brand filter is only $50 each, so a three-pack for $26 is a bargain when compared to the absurd $50 price for one. It is a good idea to double check the chart showing exactly which models the filter is compatible with before ordering. I think it is a great price!.
I'm so happy I found it. It just took me an hour and a half to get my first filter installed and I've noticed an immediate improvement in my water. I was looking for a cheaper filter than the GE xwf brand (which costs around $50) after I had done the 2 gallons of water. The taste of the Glacier brand was not for me due to the metallic taste it had. Having a natural taste and being easy to install, this product left a lasting impression on me. Additionally, rather than having to run four gallons of water through it, only two gallons are needed. In addition to that It was cheaper to get six GE brand filters than one GE Based on the information I have researched, they are certified by NSF. Excellent purchase. I'm extremely happy with it.
This is an amazing price. This refrigerator was more than twice the price of the local store where we bought it. It was definitely worth the cost. I'm glad to have the spare in case I need to replace the current.
Although they look like the original GE product, they are much more affordable. However, the water (after several gallons) tastes like plastic and tastes like it came from a plastic bottle when at room temperature. Despite being a UK-based company, Support directs you to a website that does not even have In addition to that, support requires I pick the product for a complaint but since filters are not listed, I cannot do so.
