Comparison of this filter's reviews led us to the conclusion that it was better than the others. I installed a new GE MWF filter and it took 47 seconds for a cup of water to fill. the filter, and it took 17 seconds for the same glass of water to fill up. While there is a noticeable difference in taste between tap water and filtered water, I didn't notice any difference between this filter and the GE Original I would guess that the water had a slightly different mouth feel (?). This may have been a misunderstanding, but it could also have been a mistake. Compared to the other, this one was smoother. I have been using OEM filters for my fridge but they have started to get expensive. About three seconds after removing the glass, I would see a lot of water continue to spill. The OEM filters have never caused me this problem for some reason. Eventually, it turned out that there was an air pocket still trapped within the filter/line, causing the leak or drip. I install the new filter and let a little water run through the line to expel most of the air. Following that, I remove and reinstall the filter, leaving all the water in the reservoir. The water gets a bit more air in it as I run more water through it. It takes me only a few minutes to do this 99% of the time. It was necessary for me to do this process twice once, but the savings I receive from these filters for just a fraction of the cost of OEM filters are.

When using the water for the first time after a filter change, it was a bit pressurey and there was air in the line. I had to drain it thoroughly with five large cups of water before the water was fully clear, however. I've been using these filters in my refrigerator without any issues for the past few years. I can't say for sure if they help, but the water is clear and doesn't have any weird flavors, so I guess that's all I can There has been one instance where the water was a little foggy immediately after installation, but it usually goes away after I have filled and emptied like the fourth or fifth time. As far as I can tell, that's not unusual. Taking them out and putting them back in is a snap. like to write the install and removal dates on the side of the cabinet with a sharpie before installation, so that I can keep track of the replacement intervals on an ongoing basis.
