My wife and I were getting tired of the Samsung brand price for our RF28HFEDTSR and so we decided As the first thing I did, I compared the look of it to the original one we got with our refrigerator. They are exactly the same. We immediately noticed that the taste had improved after installing the first one and running water through it to clear out the excess carbon. In this section, I'm going to go over some of the problems that others have stated that seem to be easy to fix and to which a simple resolution could be found. There is a paper on the top containing instructions and I think the left over carbon could be the cause of the taste in the water. For those complaining about a taste, make sure you run the recommended water through before drinking and remove the old ice. In response to people complaining that the red filter light didn't go out after installation, there's a reset button you can utilize. In response to the people complaining about noise or flow problems, the instructions suggest it might be necessary to remove and then reinstall the system as something wasn't lining up correctly. Additionally, I would watch out for the version that only has one rubber washer since it sounds like the model is defective. The following update is in effect As of 4/4/19 As soon as I installed the Waterdrop filter, I noticed the ice maker was making very little ice. Reading some of the feedback on the product's questions section, I felt this may be a common problem. My ice maker is now filled with ice after replacing the Waterdrop filter with a Samsung genuine filter. The filter mix is faulty, and that is what I think is causing the icemaker to not produce ice. have two more Waterdrop filters that I will install when the Samsung reaches the end. When we have that information, we'll be able to see if it is a consistent problem.

I have nothing much to say in this case. After reading some reviews on aftermarket water filters, I decided to take a chance on this one because the price was so low. Upon arrival they fitted perfectly, no leaks were reported, and the water tastes wonderful. I have had one of these in my fairly new Samsung French Door fridge for a couple of months, and it has never given me any trouble. I checked it against the original, and as far as the insert part is concerned, it Whenever I need more of these, I will buy more. I found a great alternative to my refrigerator filter that was affordable. The easy access to the water filter was a plus when I purchased a Samsung refrigerator from Lowe's. Although I wasn't thrilled with the price, I still found the filter to be very effective. In comparison to $100 per unit at Lowe's or 3 for $130, this is a great deal. As a result, I found it a little more difficult to install this filter because it's smaller in diameter. As soon as the filter was installed, the water dispenser would drip after every use, suggesting that there was a bubble in the filter or in the line. During this time, it would do this every time. I ran a few gallons of water for a couple of minutes to attempt to clear the line. This helped to some extent but didn't immediately fix the issue. It worked perfectly for the rest of the day after that until it suddenly stopped dribbling.
