This premium water filter replaces the GE MWF model, retaining beneficial minerals in the water while removing impurities, giving your drinking water a superior grade. NSF does not test or certify the performance of this product. Independent testing by a private laboratory has shown that GF-MWF ge refrigerator water filter will filter out 97 percent of contaminants. Chlorine dioxide removes 9% of chlorine from water and improves its taste and smell.

Stores that sell big boxes. Sears used to sell fridge filters for more than $40 per set. They are all. With these filters, I notice no difference in the taste of the water and they seem to work fine. They also include a monthly sticker, so you can mark which month you should replace the filter. There is no reason to overpay for installation since it is the same.

As far as the mounting area of the filter is concerned, I noticed a difference. It had a rubber seal attached to it when I removed the previous aftermarket filter The openings in the top of the filter have an O-ring and vent holes. Neither the Glacier filter nor the Arctic filter had O-particles You can see pictures of the holes in the ring and vents. In any case, the Glacier filter is working well and does not leak.

This is a good fit. You can install it easily. Even the GE OEM unit may not filter as well as this You don't have to worry about leaks. I agree with all the other reviewers that this is a wonderful place to stay! The water is clean, not tastey, and the other praises It seems that this thing is so small that the water is barely a trickle when it comes out. There is no real way to use this. Although the last 3rd-party filter I tried (different brand) didn't fix the problem, I have no idea why. It does not seem to make any difference whether I rotate it 180 degrees (there are no guide arrows to be seen as far as I can tell). Here is the second in a series of three This is the first 3rd party e-mail filter that I haven't been happy with, and the second one I am going to discard the day it comes. The (almost 1 year) old one has been placed back in and it now works significantly better (but is probably not filtering very well!). It seems that this isn't saving me money at all, so I will suck it up and buy a genuine OEM part. I guess I will have to turn to my fridge if that doesn't work. There may be variation in your mileage, and I hope there is!.
