I love how sturdy these egg crates are and how many eggs they hold. Several of these crates are being used by my mom to store seedlings for plants, and others are being used to store fruits and little cute things. As we don't have a large family, using one of the freezers to store eggs and the other for other purposes made sense. The blush hues of them are absolutely stunning, and my wife and I absolutely love them, too. Highly recommended for eggs, or even for other purposes too!.
When I have the lid closed, I find the eggs to become "sweaty. " I love how organized it keeps my refrigerator, but it can make them slightly damp.
You did a great job on these! There aren't enough eggs though I'd like to see them hold 2 more.
By removing the lid, moisture is trapped in the container and eggs become more prone to spoilage. It's hard to say for sure but, unfortunately, our fresh eggs don't last as long as eggs purchased from a store. . . I guess there's a reason egg cartons aren't sealed tightly.
Eggs are what I buy for a month, and this fits perfectly in my refrigerator. This container gives me more room for more food and I can put other ones on top of it.
It was just a few days ago that I received one of these egg holders and I'm already in love with it. Even my husband is thinking about.
The stacking is easy. The only problem is that it is sometimes hard to open.
This is perfect for storing eggs in the fridge or taking along with you on a camping trip.
