So I bought it to go with my steam press - Sadly, we will repurpose elsewhere because it is sturdy and a neat thing, but I will break my back if I use it with my steamfresh press. Too bad.
The stand raises my Steam Fast SF-100 to its full height. It has slide rests and a velco strap to keep it in place, just like a traditional ironing board. Because the stand is so light, it can be tipped over by a lateral bump or push. I'd recommend securing the unit to the wall with an anchor strap. similar to how you would a television to keep it from tipping over on a small child or pet The wire frame basket had a flaw in that the arms were too long and didn't allow it to sit level, so I had to cut almost two inches off the arms to get it to sit flush and level.
It's not very high - It's designed to be sat on. But, at 5'2", I have no trouble standing up and doing a quick press.
This item is inexpensive, sits low to the ground, and does not include instructions for assembly. This item is not something I would recommend.
The white piece on the side that holds the basket will be easily broken. Overall, it's a good-looking, well-made stand that's well worth the money.
It's an excellent stand. It stabilizes the steam press, preventing it from tipping over. It is, however, rather short, so you must either constantly bend over to use it, causing back pain, or purchase a stand to raise it to a more usable level. To raise it to counter height, I decided to build a 7" platform.
It makes ironing a breeze.
