That's not the case. You'll need to break the steamer head apart with a hammer to remove it from the hose. (Use caution and safety glasses.) Replace the head and you're all set! I hope this has been of assistance.
Use a hammer to get the job done. It's the only option available. There will be no harm to the hose.
My Jiffy garment steamer was able to fit into it.
It's a one-way installation for the steamer head. The plastic latches that hold the handle sections together have to be broken to remove the original. (Don't worry, this will permanently break it) Pry the original apart with a thin standard screwdriver; the new one will snap together.

It was easy to set up and has proven to be a true workhorse! All I wish I had done was look for it sooner!.
My Jiffy Steamer has been with me for a long time. I was relieved to be able to replace the steam head after the original had broken down, but I was taken aback when the instructions for doing so began with "smash the original handle with a hammer. " I'm not sure I've ever seen something like that, but it's fine. Warming the tube, wiggling it onto the post, removing it to rewarm it, and so on took a long time, but I finally got the tube most of the way on, and I'm hoping it will hold up. I was torn between replacing the entire unit and just the head. I'm not sure if replacing the head was the right decision, but I'm hoping it was.
When the head of my professional Jiffy Steamer cracked this summer, I did everything I could to save it because there isn't a better Steamer on the market. When I found a replacement head, I was overjoyed. I couldn't replace the entire Steamer because I didn't have the funds to do so. Surprisingly, the instructions were simple to follow. Cutting through the hose was a task for which I needed assistance. Prepare to cut through the top part with something sharp, but otherwise, removing the old head and replacing it was a breeze.
It was a straightforward task with clear instructions. I broke the old head into pieces inside the tube with a hammer and a cutting board, which I then heated with steam. I was able to remove all of the bits without having to cut the tube in half (as the directions suggested). When I first looked over the instructions, it appeared to be a bit risky, but it turned out to be quite simple and only took about five minutes; I am very pleased.
Excellent work!.
It arrived in a flash. I had to hammer the old one out as directed, but it fits perfectly and functions flawlessly. The shape is a little different (more rounded edges), but once installed, it looks great. like new condition.
It was extremely simple to install, and there were no leaks.
Excellent.
