MagVent MV-90 Magnetic Dryer Vent Coupling

The one item that is not on my list is cleaning the dryer exhaust. In the past, that meant cramming myself between the dryer and an adjacent cabinet along with cabinets above. In the past, the connection between the exhaust vent and the dryer needed an excessively long hose since it was possible only with the dryer pulled out far enough to pass between it and the cabinet so that the hose was long enough. I would have to twist, kink, or simply pop the dryer hose off at one end or the other (the clamps on the hose are never tight enough) whenever I attempted to push it in. My arms are not long enough to reach the full height of the dryer anyway, so I can't reach it from the top. A wall cabinet above limits my space, and a wall cabinet above limits my access to the dryer. Every time I attempted to reconnect everything, it always took several repetitive attempts to get the hose up against the wall in a way that was snug enough to keep the wife happy, but not kinking or crushing it. Sadly, the same frustrating process had to be repeated the following year. My pet peeve is hassle in petudy, and some years I would end up procrastinating or skipping it, or I would just mail it in and blow outside air at the exhaust vent and call It's a product that I stumbled upon, but I don't remember where I came upon it. I think it was a Reddit recommendation and appeared to be a good solution. My new system was installed in just a few minutes. There is base moulding in my laundry room, so I mounted a piece of scrap 1/2" plywood on the wall over the base so the bracket could mount flush to the wall where it's needed. The older metal hose was clean and in good shape, so I cut it down to length and installed it in place - As a result, the distance between the MagVent and the exhaust connection that comes out the wall now only needed to be 16" long. A lot of people complain about the price of this. Compared to the cost of just a chunk of dryer exhaust hose, yes, it is more expensive, but it is not excessive or unreasonable. With how this is made, it's not just some cheap stamping even. It was meticulously built and It will be worth it to you to save a few dollars than your time and your peace of mind. I had been looking for a solution for behind my dryer for some time. I ended up getting two side-by-side washing machines. The units will not fit in once they are in place, and there will be no access. My interest in the Magvent was immediately sparked when I discovered it. Although I read some reviews with 1 stars, I was not deterred. This is my second purchase and I am very happy with it. This product is extremely well made and of great quality.
