The measurements for this filter are the same as the ones you've listed here. It's the same size as the filter that came with my Sears Kenmore Heavy Duty Series 80 dryer. This filter was purchased as a backup in case the first one failed. I've tried it in the dryer several times and it's great. When it arrived in the box, it was flat, but it has since taken on the curve shape of the original filter. This is a filter that I strongly recommend.

The last digit is the color number, so 689461 should work. It's possible that 461 isn't almond, but it could be white. This item arrived quickly, and I am very pleased with it. I'm also relieved that, due to a mix-up with the model and part numbers, I got the correct part. On the inside of the white handle on my original part, the part number (348846) was clearly embossed. So you'd think that finding a replacement would be simple. The only issue was that when I used the box to compare my dryer's model number to the part number, I had to double-check that it fit. "No, this part will not work with your dryer," came back the response. My old lint filter handle clearly displayed 348846, so that seemed impossible. I decided to take this number at face value and ignore the cautionary note. My dryer was able to accommodate it perfectly! You can safely ignore the checking system because there is clearly a problem with it. Oh yes. one more thing The new filter I received has the part number 8558459 embossed on it, not 348846! I, on the other hand, am unconcerned about it. It has the same dimensions as the old one and is in perfect working order.
This isn't up to the same standard as. Garbage. The item handle did not fit flush with the dryer, indicating that it was not of the same quality as the OEM part. It jutted outwards a smidgeon. This didn't bother me because it slid right in and worked perfectly. br>br>The issue is that the frame is extremely flimsy. Before the frame broke, I had only used it for a month or two. To get rid of lint, I don't bang the lint screen. I do what I'm supposed to do with the lint. My old lint screen served me well for many years. This item is a farce.
When my old dryer, which came with the house, stopped working, I looked for solutions online, and it turned out that a tear in the dryer screen lint filter was the problem - So I matched the White appliance's exact size and serial number to 348846, which is this item (thank you, Amazon!). I took a measurement of my screen just in case, and when it came to 22", I ordered it. (It's a good thing I measured because I had a different size, 20", in my cart at the time; always double-check the length!) )br>br>I had some concerns about how this seller packaged the screen - They send them in these really flimsy crushable boxes that are shaped to the screen (like a triangle instead of a rectangle) and are easily damaged. The first one they sent me was completely broken beyond repair (the handle and plastic piece that holds the handle on were both broken and not fixable). I hope they take my suggestions seriously and either use a more rigid rectangular shipping box or fill the package with filler to prevent it from flattening during shipping. Aside from that, they provided excellent customer service and replaced my screen after I sent them a photo of the damage. Because the first one was so badly broken, it took a lot longer than I expected to get a replacement screen. They were both sent priority 2 day mail, however, and arrived relatively quickly. I'm pleased with the customer service. br>br>The good news is that it fits my dryer perfectly, and it's now much more efficient and no longer a fire hazard, yay!.
It didn't quite fit into the slot where it was supposed to. About an inch of the handle was protruding. It said this was the right part based on my model number, so instead of returning it, I simply popped the handle off of my old one and attached it to the new screen (the old screen was ripped and plugged up, necessitating replacement) and it works fine; the screen isn't as sturdy as the original, but it'll probably last until this unit, which is nearly 15 years old now, finally dies.
It's nice to no longer have holes in my lint trap, and it gives me peace of mind knowing that my dryer is less likely to become clogged and catch fire. br>br>If you're replacing your lint trap, make sure to clean everything out of the ducting inside and outside your dryer. My old lint trap had a few kinks in it, and there was a lot of lint in the blower fan.
Plastic makes up the majority of this lint filter frame. The plastic lint filter frame is reinforced with some flexible metal stripping on the filter that came with my dryer. Although this product does not appear to be as well-made as the original lint filter, it does the job and is significantly less expensive than the latter. Both of them were priced.
My dryer stopped working properly, and I started having problems with it. Drying a load of laundry required several cycles. I was perplexed because I could tell the dryer's air was hot, but it wasn't drying as quickly as it used to. I noticed a tear in the screen one day while cleaning the lint off of the old filter. I quickly realized that I was probably allowing lint to accumulate in my dryer as a result of this. I ordered a new filter and blew out the lint buildup, and it's as if I just bought a new dryer. In a single cycle, the laundry dries quickly and completely. It's exactly how it's supposed to be. This item was a perfect fit for my Maytag model MED5840TW0!.
Attempts were made to have the delivery company cover the cost of the replacement, but no one was willing to take responsibility. I replaced the screen because I noticed dog hair on everything that came out of the dryer. It fit perfectly and performs admirably. All of the rags and towels were washed right away, and I was amazed at how much dog/cat hair was collected.
