The screen filter for this dryer is an OEM filter. You will receive it in a bag from LG. My dryer was the perfect size for this item. Similar to my old lint screen, it works the same way. This is the lint screen that I took a picture of. You can use this screen if you want to replace the lint screen in your existing dryer.
I bought this machine in May 2017. After the first 6 months, the original trap filter on the bottom began to break. The machine and parts were covered under the LG warranty but, due to the Covid craziness, it was nearly impossible to contact LG. Spending my time waiting on hold was less expensive than buying a replacement. As soon as this replacement started to break, it too began to break like the original. It took about 3 weeks for the crack to form this time. This one, filter/trap #2, is only held together by the mesh and I have to get rid of the broken plastic every time I take it out to clean it. I will be buying another replacement soon, since this one isn't holding together well. The fact is that there are not many other options and the problem is not going to be fixed if people are just expected to buy new ones every year, so I have to buy another one every.
When my last one broke, I went 4 years without a new one before the plastic at the bottom started splitting and fraying It will be interesting to see whether or not this The Kenmore Elite 79681073310 Dryer is a perfect fit.
In my kitchen, I have a Kenmore Elite 91072 9 dishwasher. A total of 0 cubic feet. Amount in feet. I have a gas dryer that I bought from Sears made by LG. I decided to get a new lint filter when the plastic around my old one cracked after a few years. The one I received is a real OEM item (difficult to be sure exactly on Amazon, but it looks and feels exactly like the old one I had. I have been using it for a few months now, and it fits perfectly.
When I looked at the part on LG, it was $40 plus shipping and tax plus shipping. I looked at the original filter in the beginning, but they were cracked at the bottom. I checked Amazon, and the exact same filter is available for $30 plus shipping on the site. The original filter is exactly the same as this one.
These were an exact match for my Kenmore Elites, which are manufactured by LG. I love my new lint filter since I do a lot of laundry because I have pets. I also love fabric softener and I would always scrub my old one with warm soap and water to keep the mesh from becoming clogged. Basically, this will fit any Toyota Civic variant. Replaced the earlier one that was cracked at the bottom, as it's an OEM part. Very happy with it.
My old computer could break down sooner rather than later, and I don't want to spend a few years looking for a valuable but obsolete item.
As a bonus, I noticed that it does seem to be a bit stronger than the original (which cracked at the folding joint after two weeks with I have used this bag for 6 months and the condition is still excellent.
