As a result, cleaning the screen is a lot easier than before. br>There are no cracks or other signs of wear on the screen. This, I believe, is due to the fact that the screen is made of metal rather than the original plastic, which started to crack after only a few months. This is the screen I would buy if I needed a replacement for my dryer screen. The only issue, which has since been resolved, is the filter's fit in the dryer. To get it to sit properly, I had to press down on it at first. I was worried it had warped or that I had ordered the wrong one, but after a few weeks of doing 2 or 3 loads per week, it sat perfectly, indicating that the heat inside the dryer allowed the filter to mold itself to the receptacle.
It didn't fit properly at first, with a half-inch protruding. However, I planned ahead and added a lint trap cleaning brush with a vacuum attachment to my order. So I worked on it until I could see the bottom of the lint trap (you'll notice a metal zigzag pattern down there). When I tried to reinstall it, it was extremely tight. It's not perfect, but it's a lot better than it was when I first started. So make sure to clean out your lint trap before installing this. You'll notice a significant improvement in your results!.
I thought this trap was too big when I first tried to replace it. I couldn't get the dryer door to close. I even went out of my way to make a comeback. However, when I peered inside the trap with a flashlight, I discovered years of lint clogging it up. I couldn't be happier with how well the new trap fit after it was cleaned out.
I took measurements and recommend that you do as well. Other listings claim to "fit," but their measurements are off by a long shot.
The screen was pushed through the original lint filter. This item, which I purchased, appears to be of higher quality than the original. It gets the job done. It is highly recommended.
The fit is perfect, and the look and feel are identical to that of the original. The screen is made of stainless steel rather than nylon and is mounded into the frame. It appears to be well-made and works well; it is highly recommended. It's also a good deal!.
Some people said the filter was difficult to put in, but I had no trouble removing it to clean it and reinserting it, and neither does my wife.
