Sadly, it is not a generic part available at your average hardware store so I had to get this specifically for my machine. However, the quality is good and I doubt I will have to replace it anytime soon. The lid fit perfectly and snugly in my dishwasher since it was made for it. Don't waste time trying to find a generic part that will fit this part. Just buy it up front and you won't have to waste any more time. Don't waste time looking for parts that will fit.

You will not be able to use the "universal" drain hoses at your local hardware store because the fitting under your dishwasher is quite large. I would like to know if this is a genuine OEM part. Here's hoping that it will last even longer than that one!.
