I had no trouble installing it on my own. My old baking element shattered into three pieces after a loud noise. Here are some suggestions: br>br> Use large bobby pins or hair clips to prevent the wires from slipping back into the insulation. After pulling the cord out of the outlet, I couldn't figure out how to re-plug it. I used a small mirror to get a sense of where the three slots were because it was in an awkward position. I did it, despite the fact that it was still awkward. Turning off the breaker is standard procedure, but unplugging it is recommended for added safety. I can speak from personal experience because I've lived to tell the tale. Remove the stove door because unscrewing the bolts will require a lot of leaning in.
