This solenoid valve, as well as the Uline 31613-A, had to be replaced. After 5 years of service on my ice maker, I had to replace the S Circulation Pump Assembly. The solenoid stopped working (it failed gradually, and it appears that the rubber inside had disintegrated after it was taken apart). The pump was rusting and leaking paint into the ice maker from the cast iron section. Overall, given our hard water, this is not a bad maintenance cost. If you are semi-skilled, both were relatively simple to replace. mechanically inclined and equipped with the appropriate wrench sizes (all standard sizes). br>br>In addition, rather than 2716-, I ordered this solenoid value. 1 version (which costs $20 more) and 2716 can be used instead of 2716- The only apparent difference is the orientation of the mount, which can be easily changed by removing and reinstalling four screws (though you'll need the right tool for this - see below). In my case, it's a socket set that looks like a mini screwdriver (11/32). I'm not sure why 2716 is there. The electric specs are identical on both (both say model 55; the first has a $20 premium). Made in China, 120V 60Hz 12W with MOPD 150PSI).
If you have an older Uline unit, the heat shield in the back may not align properly due to the flange being slightly off. It's not a major issue. However, it works flawlessly.
It worked perfectly and I was able to reactivate my ice maker.
This is an excellent purchase. My ULine ice maker is now operational and performing admirably.
