I do not think that Hamilton beach brew station will survive. There is no way to close it once it is placed in the basket. I am sending it back to you.
There was not quite enough space in the basket of my coffee maker for this. So I put a filter between the slop and the outer basket since I didn't like the micro grains that were getting through. '(I should mention that I grind my coffee finer than recommended for drip coffee makers, on a burr mill, so there is a higher level of micro grain than you are used to. In my opinion, it's a good functioning system.
1. no paper is wasted. 2. no paper is wasted. No taste from the paper 3. *Less sediment is left on the ground after the coffee is brewed (and the coffee does taste better)*3. Fits well with the coffee maker*5. Easily cleaned (just run it under the sink upside down)
On the other hand Smaller batches of coffee tend to be quite weak when the holes are larger than paper. Although I've adjusted the grind all the way down to a super fine grind (almost like espresso) it still does not come near as strong as a standard paper filter in medium setting. The second paragraph. As of now, it is lasting, but I fear that it will break if I am too aggressive with the washing.
This will reduce the amount of paper filters and will produce as good of a coffee flavor as that of a french press. the coffee holder with the paper and the paper inside the paper. You can dispose of dump grinds wherever you like, I put mine in Remove the basket from the water and rinse it. Every four or five times I run the dish brush over the grinders to catch any remaining grinds. There usually aren't any. During the time I used these, they lasted a long time, but I always replaced them every six months, whether they were It can last an extended period if it is kept clean after every pot.
The problem has been solved by replacing the old one with this little fellow. There is a very rigid mesh on this unit and it feels like metal. The new one is so much better than the old I'm happy that the wife is happy, too, so that's a bonus!.
However, to me it did not seem that the change was that significant.
There are very few products I have ever purchased that's as bad as this. It would be nice to save the environment and have to do less cleaning. In spite of this, this filter does produce an immediate change in the appearance and flavor of the coffee. After shaking it vigorously between uses to ensure no coffee had remained, I tried to clean it, but to no avail. I had muddy looking coffee that turned brown after it was brewed. To change the water and to try different kinds of coffee, I tried changing the water. The filter was the problem after so much coffee had been wasted. The paper filters will have to do for me. I am so sorry to hear that.
