Questions & Answers

Is this a better alternative to MyCAPs?

MyCaps is something I haven't tried yet, but I have tried Geesta. While they were a better fit for the pod, they were far too easily punched through. Because they're a little bigger, the sticky edge may miss the pod edge if you don't center them properly, but they don't get damaged as easily.

What is the maximum number of times a capsule can be recapped?

I'm sure I've used it at least a dozen times. They become misshaped over time due to handling and reloading, or I accidentally poke a hole in them. Then I go out and get a new set, usually the variety pack with 10 capsules of the midrange coffee i. That's 30 capsules, and they last a long time, thanks to stormio, Melanie, and others.

Hello, how can these aluminum foils be disposed of?

Hello, this is an aluminum foil lid that can be thrown away. It's safe to toss it into the non-perishables bin. After use, recyclable trash is discarded. You can also throw the glue away in a recyclable trash can if you tear it off after use and rinse it with water. Thank you very much. RECAPS

So these are compatible with the Nespresso vertuo machine, not the vertuline?

Thank you for your interest in this item, which will only fit Nespresso Vertuo original coffee capsules.

Choose the Right Color Pod for Your Coffee! This RECAPS brand is superior to the My-Kind brand in my opinion
5/5

Foils from the Cap brand. These appear to be more durable foil, as well as being a better fit for the pods. Following the simple guidelines provided by others, these work great after a little trial and error. You'll find the information below extremely useful once you've mastered your technique. Stronger coffee is produced by a longer prewetting period, a slower water flow rate, and a warmer water temperature. br>br>Capsule Name (Color) = Prewetting Time / Flow Rate / Temperaturebr>br>br>Espresso Typesbr>Altissio (Dk Purple) = Short / Slow / Highbr>Diavolitto (Dk Blue) = Long / Slow / Highbr>Voltesso (Bright Gold) = Short / Slow / Lowbr>Deca > Low-cost / quick > Highbr>Decaffeinato (Red) = Short / Med / Lowbr>Half Caffeinato (Red/Black) = Short / Med / Lowbr>Cafe De Cuba (White/Red script) = Short / Slow / Lowbr>Flavored (Various) = Short / Med / Lowbr>Cafe De Cuba (White/Red script) = Short / Slow / Low.

AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT, but it must be used correctly:   THESE ARE AMAZING! However, you must learn how to properly use them
5/5

This includes the degree to which the coffee is ground, how much/tightly it is packed into the pod, and so on. Once you've mastered this (it only takes a few trials and errors), you can move on to the next step. You'll find that the coffee you make in the pods tastes a million times better than the crap that comes in the manufactured nespresso pods. So PLEASE, give it a shot and a few tries if the coffee isn't to your liking at first; it's a WORLD of difference in quality and taste for a fraction of the price, plus you get the added benefit of selection and ethics (because. Nestle is pure evil, just in case you didn't know. )br> I included a video of this product so that you can see how well it matches the nespresso pods by looking at the color of the coffee. I don't usually go to the trouble of including a video in a review, but this product not only deserves high praise and an accurate review, but it becomes even more important once the dark realities of the Nestle corporation are discovered. (I won't go into detail about Nestle in this review; suffice it to say that Nestle (R) will never receive another dime from me. ) ) As consumers, we have a say in how our money is spent. We can't simply turn a blind eye to new information (such as human rights violations and child exploitation). Fortunately, you don't have to toss out your Nespresso virtuo machine--because, let's face it, who doesn't have one of those? I've been reusing my old nespresso pods for MONTHS and they still work great once you've added Nestle to your boycott list. br>HOW TO GET THEM TO WORK FOR PERFECTION TASTING:
1. Choose an excellent cup of coffee. For the machine/pods, I've become a huge fan of Trader Joe's Guatemalan Dark Organic and Certified Fair Trade. I never prefer a dark roast like this for a drip machine, but I discovered that switching to dark for the Nespresso really works well with the froth from the machine, and it's fantastic.
2. The importance of GRIND cannot be overstated. When it came to figuring out what consistency the coffee should be, I had to do a lot of trial and error. If you still have an unopened Nespresso pod, look at it while it's dry to find the ideal grind. If you grind the beans too fine, the coffee will be watered down. The same is true if you don't grind them thoroughly enough. If you have your own grinder, play around with the settings to see what works best for you. I put my in- between espresso and drip (closer to espresso but not quite as fine as a full espresso nor as fine as a French press).
3. They should be properly packed. Again, balance is key, and mastery is achieved through trial and error. You want it to be full and pressed, but not overly so, as if you were packing an espresso machine. br>4. Learn about Nestle and why it's so important to buy only fair-trade products. Always trade, and whenever possible, reduce waste by reusing.
5. Spend the money you would have spent on nespresso on something fun (and ethical). br>br>I adore my Nespresso machine, but if you haven't already done so, I strongly advise you to do so. Other than nestle, I recommend looking into other options. ) There are a few others worth checking out as well. My sister has a great one, and I'll let you know what it's called once I figure out what it's called: )br>br>Thank you for taking the time to read this, and Café Diem!.

It's a cinch to use
5/5

Take a look at my usage suggestions. They've met my expectations. I am the only coffee drinker in our house, and I only have one cup at breakfast; however, I can make 10 pods in less than 5 minutes. My advice: br>br> 1. br>br> It's not easy to remove the foil from the original pods. Instead of pulling the trefoil off the inside rim, I found it easier to cut it with a small curved pair of scissors. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br If you need a container to store your pods, I found that a mentos gum container, with the top cut off, is the perfect size. 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. removing the foil from the re-warmed pods Capsules are simple to use and can be reused many times. 5. br>br> Make sure the coffee isn't too hot. When you shake the original pods, you'll notice that they're not completely packed. br>br>Have fun with it!.

It really works
5/5

(3/12/19): This article has been updated. Every single pod I've made with this foil has been a success since I bought it. If you're concerned about the taste of your coffee, it's up to you to get quality grounds (and use the right kind of capsule). I use illy espresso ground coffee, which tastes 20 times better than any of the original nespresso capsules (I've also tried Starbucks espresso ground, which tasted terrible), so get better coffee or try different brands to find the right one for you. Making affogato is something I really enjoy doing: Over good quality vanilla ice cream, brew a double espresso scuro capsule filled with illy espresso ground. It has a fantastic flavor. br>—————br>br>Original review: —————br>br> br>If you pay attention to details like the fineness of your coffee ground and the amount you put in each capsule, it works great. I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this, and I was extra cautious because I didn't want to break my machine. I also had a bunch of used original capsules that I could tear open to see what they looked like. Compare the grounds in there to the coffee I make at home. My "first try" was a success, and the coffee tasted exactly like the original Nespresso pod.

These VirtuoLine Nespresso machine lids are a must-have
5/5

Oh, the horror! These lids have completely changed our lives. We were using a competitor caps and had a 50% failure rating with the cap coming off and a mini explosion of coffee in the N I've gone through half of these lids and haven't had a single problem. Amazing! This has resurrected the joy of using a Nespresso machine to make Starbucks French Roast that is superior to what can be found in a Starbucks store. I'm serious. Try it. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I placed a second order for two more packs. Our VirtuoLine machine is now fully operational as a result of this product. I am overjoyed!.
