The water/coffee mixture ran through so fast, it did not have a chance to steep nor did it have time to be stirred. I just received this today and just tried it for the first time. Even though the mesh was pretty strong, I didn't need to use a plunger to force coffee through it. There was no problem. It just went through without a hitch. I would like to buy this for The hassle of returning it will not be worth the effort. Tossing it out is all I can do. The paper filters will be my new standard going forward.

As I was traveling when I received the product, I did not use it until my return, so I missed the Amazon return deadline. Because the filter does not fit properly on my Aero Press, I emailed customer support to let them know that I was experiencing issues and to inquire about the satisfaction guarantee. Despite trying all methods stated on this company's website, as well as random websites, I still was unable to retrieve the information I sought. I received a response from Height within two days, asking if I had tried using another alternative method to solve the issue. In response, I told them that I had already done that, but it was still not working. I have contacted Altura nearly two weeks ago but have yet to hear back. Again, I have emailed, and I have not received a reply. If the filter doesn't fit properly, you will lose your $10 investment, and be unsuccessful in your attempt to resolve the issue because customer service is so unresponsive. Therefore, don't buy this unless you are willing to spend yourself into debt when the filter doesn't fit properly. I wouldn't buy an Altura product in the future due to the fact that they ignore their customers and fail to honor their own customer service.

I figured it was nothing to worry about. The lifetime warranty at Altura was requested by email. A response has not been received. I then tried again a week later - this time I sent all of my contact information, including the A response has not been received. Having a warranty would have been fine if this company had stood by it. The paper filters I was using before are no longer available, so I've switched back to them.

Despite numerous cleaning methods, the finer particles seem to be embedded in the mesh and there is no way I can remove them. This is a shame because it used to be great, but now the pressure is way too high to force anything through it. Although I contacted the manufacturer about it, I have not received a response after a month. Seeing as it was all I had, I've been using an old map as a template to cut circles out of regular coffee filters to use instead, and I've been able to drink coffee every morning as a result. Due to the fact that they were so much easier to use, I'll just go back to paper filters.

Warranty claims are not being handled by the company. Four months have elapsed since we last used the filter. So much dirt is on it that it is no longer usable. It's entirely possible that we warped our aeropress under the force of the pressure. Our ability to use it is limited by how clean it can be. A total of three emails have been sent to Altura for warranty claims, but no response has been received.

I have not had this concern but only once, and it was very minimal. In a previous post, we talked about the result of not rinsing the filter immediately after use. The screen needs to be cleaned as you go, and you should not have any problems. Overall, very pleased, definitely a 5/5.
