Since I bought the large one, I'll be honest with you. It has proved to be effective for practice anchors and everyone I've met has said the same thing "Why do they call it a fluke?"? It might be a fluke if it works, but snow conditions may prevent it from being very useful in real world applications.

It is the kind of thing you hope not to have to use, and I haven't had to use it This seems to be the typical MSR product, and I trust MSR, so I can trust it on the mountain. As far as carrying it goes, it is pretty small and light, which is a big plus if The pulley attachment seems to be designed well and ready for connecting to the anchor point. If I have the opportunity to try it out I will update this post, but fingers crossed I won't have to.
