Thank you for contacting us with your inquiry! Without knowing the dimensions of the skis and boards, it's difficult to provide an accurate answer. br>Two pairs of skis usually take up about the same amount of space as one or two snowboards (due to the fact that they are stacked base-to-base). base). Depending on the width of the skis, you may be able to fit three pairs in the carrier, but make sure there's enough room for the rubber gasket to seal around the skis and board and keep them secure.

It was difficult to determine the width of the loading area. We were able to fit six pairs of skis ranging in length from 80cm to 190cm inside this one, which measures 24" on the inside. There was just enough room between them to avoid rubbing. It's possible that the newer speed link system will be more straightforward to install. It was, however, a simple installation that matched our factory Escalade and Suburban crossbars. The provided bolts are security torx, and the appropriate tool is included. At 55 mph, there is very little noise. In our setup, two of the bolts are very close to the roof paint, but it should be simple to cut the ends off of those two because I don't see any shorter options.
With one snowboard and three pairs of skis, this ski rack is ideal for a family of four. As you can see from the photos, there's no room for another pair of skis. I gave this ski rack four stars because I thought it was a little wider; there is only about 2 inches of extra space. That being said, the installation was simple, the quality is satisfactory for the price, and there have been no complaints thus far. I'd make another purchase. Those who require more equipment on the roof should choose a larger model.
Skis for adults and children (four adults and two children). It was a tight fit, but it got the job done. This rack is, in my opinion, a steal for the price. br>I didn't like the fact that the brackets were made of plastic, so I dashed to Home Depot to get some rubber washers. Between the brackets, I inserted them. It appeared to be more effective. My crossbars are made of a flat bar with a slight curve. As a result, when I tightened the screws, the brackets came into contact. The rubber washers served as an excellent buffer.
The racks are simple to set up and come with all of the necessary locks, keys, and installation tools. Four boards, on the other hand, are impossible to fit. Only one car's sunroof is visible in the photo. I could only fit one board and three child-size skis, despite the fact that, after rereading reviews, I now realize that you should put the skis bottom to bottom, so I should have been able to fit three pairs, not just three. I'm sharing my blunder in the hopes of assisting others. There was very little wind noise.
With these racks installed on the roof rack, I've driven hundreds of miles, including freeway driving at 75 mph. I've taken two ski trips up the mountain with three pairs of skis and one snowboard, and I haven't had any issues. Pros: Easy to set up, holds skis securely, locks work well, and there is barely any wind noise. none.
Cleaning is a breeze. I've had this rack for two seasons and it's done exactly what I expected it to do. Something that isn't often mentioned is how simple they are to clean at the end of the season. To get rid of all the bugs, simply wipe it down with a damp rag. When driving on the highway (loaded or unloaded), I also didn't notice any additional or annoying noise from these. It's worth noting that when it's fully loaded with four pairs of skis, you'll need to be a little more careful about how you arrange them so that the bars can close properly.
This arrived in a battered box with tapes strewn about. When I opened it, I immediately noticed that the item was clearly not brand new. Fingerprints can be found all over. Someone used it, so there's a rust spot on it as well. I believe the seller is simply reselling an item that has been returned as new. In addition, the push button is ineffective, and pressing it does not open the rack like all other racks on the market. Pushing the rack up requires additional force, defeating the purpose of an "easy release button. " Furthermore, even at low 25 mph, it produces loud wind noises after being mounted. The speed limit is 35 mph. It has been returned.
Thanks again for a great set of racks. The only drawback is that the key is flimsy and bends when your locks are frozen from the drive or shredding all day while your other board is stuck on the rack due to the flimsy key.
