On my VW ID's 'base carrier bars,' they were VERY simple to install. 4 and it's super simple to use once it's installed. One snowboard was stacked on top of the other, with one facing up and the other facing down. While in this configuration, the carrier had no trouble keeping the boards and skis secure. br>br>Some reviewers complained about keys getting stuck in the locks, but I had no such issues. The keys, on the other hand, are a little fiddly to insert (or remove) from the locks. Spraying some WD40 into the locks can help a lot, so I recommend doing that first. br>br>Finally, The product is well-made and, at this price, a great buy for occasional use. If you ski frequently, you'll want something a little more substantial, but for a couple of times a year, these are perfect!.

I loaded the boards into my car and drove away. I checked the boards halfway through our trip and noticed that they had slid back a little, which wasn't a big deal, so I decided to adjust them. I unlocked and opened the racks, then adjusted the boards before attempting to close them. The front rack worked fine, but the latch button on the back rack popped out of its housing when I tried to close it. The spring inside the button had dislodged itself and was impossible to replace. I had a couple of bungee cords on hand, so I was able to secure the boards and continue on. This item is made in a very low-cost manner. Furthermore, the seller is a nightmare to deal with. I was initially offered a $15 refund in exchange for keeping the product, which was broken; I declined their ridiculous offer and demanded a full refund, which the seller completely ignored by sending me a replacement rack. This seller is more likely to be successful on Wish than on Amazon.

I had to adjust one of the racks in order for it to close properly. It was difficult to close the racks with an adult and a child's skis on them (same issue). It's likely that more tinkering is required. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase. When closed, it securely holds the skis in place. Rubber cushion is nice and thick. Installed on an Audi Q5 and a Ford Explorer, both of which were simple to do.

I've only used it for short trips (less than an hour at 60 mph), but it's performed admirably with no noticeable noise, and it's incredibly simple to use once it's installed (which didn't take long).

This is an excellent item. It's simple to put together and keeps the snowboards and skis in place. My only complaint is that the lock and keys are a little finicky to get the keys in, and the button can be difficult to push in at times, but if you pull the top latch all the way down and hold the button while doing so, it will open.

It works great; however, because four bolts were touching the roof, I had to cut them down by 1/2 inch. My roof rack is extremely close to the top of my car. It's a fantastic product with a fantastic price tag.

It's a good ski rack, but the instructions could be clearer. Also, the photo shows four pairs of skis lined up side by side; however, there is only enough room for three pairs this way, so stacking the pairs one on top of the other works.
