I spent a long time looking for a new ski rack that would fit my off-road vehicle. Crossbars were of a higher quality and had a lower profile; they were also very simple to install and fit perfectly. While this one isn't particularly low-profile, the ability to flip it down makes all the difference. It's very simple to flip down and back up. When I'm not using it, I keep it flipped down, which gives me the low profile I wanted (I'm afraid of parking garages). It has a great aesthetic, is extremely durable, and is extremely adaptable.

This was a Christmas present for my son. He was quickly detained. 15 minutes or less- I was able to put this on top of his car and adjust it properly and securely. As he drove back to Utah, he called to say that because he was able to lay the rack down so it didn't stick up as high as it did when he drove without his board loaded into it, there was almost no additional rack noise. He also sent me a photo of his snowboard rack, which was loaded with four boards as he and his friends drove up to Park City for a day on the slopes. When I asked about security, he said the special hex nuts would make it difficult to remove, so he wouldn't take it off his car until the season was over. br>br>It makes his mother happy because he loves it.

FYI, the mounting bracket comes with a security Allen key. This is a unique Allen wrench that isn't widely available and acts as a deterrent to theft. When closing the top part of the ski holders, there is a nice two-step clasp. After the ski season, it will be simple to remove it. There is no way to mount with the groove in some cross bars, so you'll have to rely on the clasp.

It is simple to set up. So far, we've driven 20 hours with it. Opens and closes without difficulty. If you stack the skis, it might fit six modern skis. We completed four sets, and one of the children's skis had to be stacked.

This is a high-quality, heavy-duty ski rack. My Infiniti QX80 racks were simple to install. On the interstate at 80 mph for 2 hours, I held my skis tightly. The resort is 5 hours away, and despite its size, there is very little noise and wind shear. I would recommend it.

Design and construction are excellent. The ability to fold down is incredible. 4 sets of skis can easily be accommodated.

It really works. Even if you're wearing gloves or mittens. Fold- The ability to scroll down is also very useful.
