I bought these for my girlfriend for a ski trip we took, and they don't have a plastic lining inside, but with most winter/waterproof gloves, your hands will sweat whenever you're doing something active or exerting energy. On the plus side, my girlfriend never complained about sweating and she adored the gloves.
Last week, I wore them while snowboarding. My hands didn't get cold until later in the afternoon, but they were extremely cold. The gloves are far too big, and the cold caused a lot of damage to the fingers in particular. I'd suggest mittens or a different brand of fingerless glove.

These gloves have completely blown me away. I have three types of arthritis, as well as Fibromyalgia, as well as spinal and nerve damage. In 90-degree weather, my hands and feet can stay cool. I gambled on these gloves, assuming they'd break down after 7 minutes in 20 degree (or less) winter weather. But there was ONE day, for about three hours, when all of the pain was bearable, and I decided to take advantage of that Blessing by going outside to play in the snow. (I'm 55 and still play when I can because life is far too short. ) We'd had a snowstorm that had brought the snow up to knee height. My hands stayed warm the entire time I was out thanks to these gloves, my new Timberland boots, and a good jacket and head covering! I was also digging in the snow while wearing them, and they remained dry.
Because Wisconsin has already had a few days near zero this Winter, I bought these gloves for my wife. Our children also enjoy playing in the snow, so she required a waterproof garment. These gloves made my wife extremely happy. They checked off all of her boxes: warm, dry hands after handling snow, a comfortable fit, and cuteness. br>br>Buy these gloves, ladies. These gloves are a great gift for your wife, girlfriend, sister, mother, or daughter. You'll get some brownie points, and maybe they'll forget about all those projects you've been putting off fixing for a while.
I went skiing today wearing this for the first time. It was ripped at the seams by the end of the day. Nothing nowadays appears to be well-made. Furthermore, they are designed for people who have short fingers. Granted, I have long fingers and have this issue with many gloves, but these fingers are ridiculously short, as if they were designed for a teenage girl. I kept them to put to the test today, and I must say that they were warm and comfortable, and they are long enough to cover my forearms beneath the jacket sleeves. However, none of the positive aspects justify the product's poor construction, which resulted in it ripping apart on the first use (as seen in the photo). br>It was a total letdown.
Great gloves that are both warm and not bulky. I bought them to wear while snowmobiling, and they're warm and waterproof (unless you fly off the front and crash into the snow). Before everyone comes back to laugh at you, they might get a little wet trying to dig, push, or pull yourself out. But I'm getting ahead of myself. They're well-made, they fit well, and they're thin and light enough to be extremely comfortable. Mine is fantastic, and I would strongly suggest it.
When I tried them on, they were so wet on the inside that I had to wring water out of them, rendering these winter gloves useless for snow activities. It was a huge let down.
The photo shows where my fingers sit inside the glove, as well as the extra material that extends beyond the fingers. The length of the ring finger is unusual. Was planning on returning the gloves because they were too large. Choosing to test them out first in a snowstorm, shoveling and brushing off the car. In the fingers, they are excessively long - The lining inside fits, but there is a 1" gap at the tips of the fingers that makes everything difficult. br>br>Other than that, the lining inside is soft. They have a water-resistant feel to them, and the arm length is long enough to prevent snow from getting into your sleeve. The color scheme is accurate. There are no rips or tears in the fabric. The adjustment strap is functional; the only drawback is the extra inch of fabric that prevents you from pressing a button or opening a car door without straining!.
My son requested pink gloves that would look "amazing in the snow," and these were the perfect match!.
These gloves fit well and are extremely comfortable, but if you plan on wearing them for extended periods of time, such as while skiing or snowboarding, I would advise against them. I started skiing at night and bought these based on the reviews, but my hands were freezing after the second time up! I have to wear underlying gloves underneath to keep my hands warm, but they are a fantastic purchase otherwise. They are 100% water resistant so if’you’are planning on using them when it snows for short periods at a time I would strongly recommend these.
