I love them! As the durability is important to me, I decided to hold off reviewing these until I have washed them a couple of times. In the cold winters of Michigan, I walk my dog in these socks. Since I do not ski or snowboard, I do not need these socks. After washing 5 times, the socks fit perfect, keep my feet super warm, and do not shrink or wear at all.
In general, I would prefer a very lightweight snowboarding sock with a cushioned sole, but this is fine for me. I was surprised at how thick they were on the calf section, but they appear to be doing their job and staying It is very well made and should last for.
They said I should get a set of these socks for my parents, who have swollen ankles due to health issues. I thought they would keep them extra warm too. The largest size (L) is what I ordered. Even getting them up over their ankles proved impossible. Ultimately I ended up choosing them. They are heavy and difficult to pull on, but they fit me and seem to be okay.
