This is a "one size fits most" product that is actually quite comfortable. A size 11 might have been a little tight at the cuff, but I was able to wear them without any difficulties. I don't feel the wires that provide the heat at all because the material is thick and comfy.
The only place where the heating elements are located is in the toe box area, which is usually where cold feet develop first.
The batteries charge up quickly, and there are three different settings that let you control the heat. On cold days or when the hardwood floors are cold, making the "high" setting great for keeping your floors warm. It would be better if you were wearing shoes or both wearing shoes and moving around outside while it was cold to lower the setting. There is a calf-length to these, so they are not quite long enough to fit in ski boots, but they would probably be fine in snowboard boots, depending on the placement of the batteries. All in all, this pair of heated socks is pretty good!
