Yes, I agree with that There are shorter sections that have loops.

As a result of being in a hurry and using part of the rope, a part of the rope unraveled. Our only rope need was for wakeboarding and we didn't have much rope to work with.

There is actually a part of me that prefers this over my O'Brien. As you move up and down the wave, the sections are easily removed and the foam grips are comfortable for learning to surf.

I think the best way is to zip tie the protector in place

I think it's the best wake surfing rope that I've used. This is the second one we have purchased, and it has been our favorite for years. It is possible for a rubber protector to split and come off from time to time. My zip tie worked well and I was able to secure them again. You should be careful when trimming the tabs not to leave any sharp corners.

Don't take the easy way out! I regret to inform you that this rope is absolutely trash and not worth even 5 cents

This rope has only been in our possession for about a month, and in that time we have used it five times. It already is starting to break and fall apart. RUN!.
